Gary Comegys is as ignorant as his puppet, Shanie Shields.I read the profiles in Sunday's DT about the candidates for election. I am aghast! Shanie Shields did NOT attend Salisbury State for two years 1976-1978. Nor does she have an Associate Degree in "Office Technology" from Wor-Wic Community College. Furthermore,she did not graduate high. Maybe a G.E.D.

I don't know how he ever got elected in the first place, or Shanie Shields, or Mike Dunn, OR Barrie Tilghman...I'm beginning to believe the constituents either don't care, don't know, and we KNOW they don't show up at the polls, what is the voter turn out rate? If it's more than 10% of the registered voters, I'll choke.
They just go about their lives and assume everything is OK cuz with the 'gov't' it HAS to be, right?
Barrie Tilghman is an avarice predator who has taken all she can from Salisbury, while the other line up are simple buffoons. Gary Comegys and Shanie Shields can't even speak in complete sentences, something MOST 2nd graders know how to do.
Who did they blackmail to get into office or did they just toss their names into the pile and ask their friends to vote because the VOTERS in town just don't. (Vote that is, or with any real knowledge of who they are voting for.)
They aren't in office to make a difference, they don't have a clue to how to run the city, but my bet is they are there to line their own pockets any way they can.
And if our local gene pool isn't any better than this, I'll just cry.

I so much admire Mrs. Campbell's professionalism... a stark contrast to that of Mr. Comegy's demonstration of juvenile intolerance. While this may be only one sound clip, it has certainly firmed up in my mind as to whom I will be voting for. Folks, this (local government)is where the rubber hits the road (as we look towards Washington DC and witness the continuing fiscal debacle there). Local (and "responsible") government sets the stage for responsible government at the state level and then ultimately to Washington DC.
We have some hard work to do, but is it not worth it?
