AFP Kick OFF

Over 50 AFP-Maryland supporters attended the chapter kickoff press conference at Lawyers Mall demanding accountability from their elected officials and less government intrusion into their daily lives. National President Tim Phillips took the time to talk to everyone in attendance before and after the conference.

Cookie Kiser, owner of the famous "City Line Diner" on Ft. Smallwood Rd, stole the show. As an entrepreneur, single mother, and employer of 30, Cookie lamented about the future of Maryland if we continue down the current path of large deficits and an even larger government. Higher taxes and more government interference will force her to layoff employees, and may even force her to close shop permanently.

Americans For Prosperity Maryland thanks everyone who attended the kickoff and for a great start!

Maryland still needs your help! Together we can reaffirm and promote the fundamental principles that our Country were founded on. The principles of limited government and free market benefits each and every Tax Paying Citizen of Maryland.

Maryland's is how many millions in the hole right now? Consider highway funds tied to speed limits, Medicaid, block grants for law enforcement ... Get real, folks, the Free State isn't going to be turning away free money anytime soon.

Gasden flags represent the opposition to allowing one's rights to be taken away. The statists in power and there policies are the danger to our freedoms. Why won't the govt accept tarp money back? They want to have power in private sector. Now for that first comment, come on, these are passionate people willing to stand up and not let the govt take over and trample our rights you liberal jerk!

Yea right. That's what the ACLU is for. I wonder how of those Gasden flag wavers are members of the ACLU?

Answer: None. It's a crock.
