You really need to get off the Faux News Joe. They exist for the sole purpose of promoting a far right wingnut agenda. Getting people fired up using misinformation is anti-American at best and criminal at worst. Anyone with half a brain that pays attention knows the measures being taken by the Obama Administration in this time of economic crisis are desparately needed to stop a collapse. Powerful video. Seems to be a lot of chatter this week about all the Tea party events. People have to do something to wake up our officials and make them notice us again.
I love it when the American people stand up and voice their opposition to this mess the democrats have got us in. Too bad it's falling on deaf ears.
When they announced the first stimulus bill, the white hse and congress where over whelmed with emails demanding they not vote for it, so many emails it overloaded the severs.....they still didnt listen to the people. They wont listen this time either, lest not till they understand we the people mean business. The reason the 1773 Boston tea party worked so well...it hit them in their wallets....taxes....the only way to get their attention is to stop paying taxes....the majority....all at once. Its better than a war with guns, just as law officers go after the money from drug cartels and mobs. TAKE AWAY THEIR PAYCHECKS!! ....before they totally destroy our Country.
All of you are going to end up on a watch list, no joke. I quess the next thing to do is boycott any business that hires illegal aliens, at least that would acomplish something. I have to run over to Mal-Mart to buy materials to make a sign. Good Lord.

The tea parties are necessary. It sends a message that people are uniting behind the constitution. Give me liberty or give me death! If we give away our states rights for money, we have allowed them to sell us out. We have to make the statement that we will NOT stand for this. I WILL NOT pay for someone elses mortgage. I WILL NOT pay to bail out losing businesses. I will not pay another penny of taxes, social security or otherwise. I am putting my employees on notice. I will pay them under the table. They will get what they earn and I will not lose another penny paying someone to make payroll deductions. If they don't like it they can work somewhere else. Somehow I think they will welcome the opportunity to take home what they earn. Money is the head of the snake. Let's cut off the head of the snake!
look the government cant solve anything, they have proven that time and time again. I hope someone turns you in if you don't pay your taxes. You don't want to pay taxes anymore? Fine. Stay off the roads our taxes pay for. Don't collect Social Security when you retire. If you have kids, pay the entire bill for their schooling, from grade school through college. Don't call the police. Don't call the fire department. Don't bitch when the next 9/11 happens because you did not fund our military. If a government subsidized scientist finds a cure for a disease, you are not allowed to use the medicine. You all can discuss this at the tea party.

I am 57 years old---never had kids and never complained about paying taxes for the school system. I have paid into the system all my life, and will probably have to continue to work until I hit the dirt. I will probably not benefit much from what I have contributed over the past 40 years. I can only pray I keep my health.
The tax system the way it is now is an obamination--no pun intended. There needs to be some serious tax reform.
We need to quit supporting the illegals, in health care, business ownership, tuition, public programs and quit supporting those that use the public trough as their lifetime benefit.
We need to limit terms of Congress, elimiate lobbys and special interest, ALL PORK, and some of the ridiculous perks afforded to the legislators.
We need to stop supporting the outrageous salaries and parachutes of executives and entertainers, sports celebrities. Priorities have gone to hell in a handbasket in this country. I wonder how many more white collar criminals are gonna get busted. They are no better than the street thugs if you ask me.
There is much work to be done in this country. Hell, there is much work to be done right here in smallsbarrie.

It is amazing how many people do not understand taxes. How many complaining about those who want to do something about our punishing tax system get money back at the end of each year? Do you actually pay income taxes or are you part of the almost 50% of Americans who do not pay taxes? The Tea party will be a hit!!! All ages, all types of people will be there to use their freedom of speech-while we still have it!
1:39 I pay taxes for things I'll NEVER use. Social Security is one of them. I don't know how old you are but if you're my age you'll never collect a thin dime from it and neither will I. It's insolvent. I pay more in property taxes than you can imagine. But that's local and I am OK with that. I pay 7.65% of my employees salary into a fund from which THEY will never collect becuase the money has been squandered. I won't blame any particular party because they are both guilty as hell. The highway taxes you mention come from the taxes paid on fuel I use to run up and down those highways you don't want me to use. I pay enough property taxes to put my kids and those of many other families through school. I currently pay the college tuition of my children out of pocket and they pay for books and anything else they need. I have never taken a cent from anyone to pay for any of these things. Military? Oh - I did my time there. Did you? Or was money what you put up in order for you to say you did your share for national security? I don't mind paying to fund a military to defend our nation but I will NOT pay for someone elses mortgage. You must be one of those who will benefit in some way from the Obama Bucks about to be printed and distributed.

Frankly, I don't know what you people are complaining about. Obama has hardly done anything yet, and nothing that I'd consider remotely radical. In fact, he's far more centrist than I'd like him to be.
How can people get so worked up about a crappy little stimulus plan? According to Krugman, the plan will probably not achieve objectives, because it is so small. Either way, we'll survive.
How is it possible to be so angry at Obama when it's painfully obvious that the blame for our current situation likes with the Bush administration. When Bush decided to let the big banks decide for themselves how much money they needed to keep in reserve for the loans they made, our fate was sealed.

spent more money than the time period from we became a nation until now!!!! His stimulus plan takes away states rights and gives it to the federal governemnt, he is indcreasing welfare and making people more dependeant on governemtn, wants all girls to have abortions and wants tax payer money to do so...

Then when Bush did his bank bailout, but he didn't give the money to the banks. He gave it to the holding companies!! What stupid advisor/lobbyist told him to do that? Now, lots of that money has gone to Europe and into big bonuses for the holding company executives.
Obama inherited this mess. Failure to get the banks going again will put us in a huge hole. Would you like to see all your credit cards cancelled?
His recovery plan seems reasonable. Give it a chance. You can't fix 8 years of malfeasance and ineptitude in only 2 months.
