The Clintons' White House Cat, Sox, Dies

The Clinton Foundation released the following statement.

"Socks brought much happiness to Chelsea and us over the years, and enjoyment to kids and cat lovers everywhere. We're grateful for those memories, and we especially want to thank our good friend, Betty Currie, for taking such loving care of Socks for so many years."

Sox probably got better health care than most Americans can afford. Its all about PRIORITIES. At least thats a start.

First Buddy, and now Sox? Add their names to the list. Too many people and too many animals associated with the Clintons have died...

Speaking of Buddy, did you know Buddy was a Maryland dog? Clinton acquired Buddy as a puppy in 1997 from Caroline County, Maryland, and named him after his late uncle.

"Socks didn't get along with the frisky Buddy, so the White House had to keep the two in separate quarters. Since this arrangement would be no longer possible in the Clintons' smaller home in New York, Socks was left under the care of Bill Clinton's secretary, Betty Currie. Buddy, however, suffered the same fate as Clinton's previous dog, a cocker spaniel named Zeke, when he was killed by a car while running loose near the Clinton home in Chappaqua, New York, on January 2, 2002."
