SC Executes Man For Slaying Family For Insurance

By LISA MARIE PANE, AP

S.C. -A Georgia man convicted of killing his wife and son to collect life insurance money has been executed in South Carolina.
Luke Williams was put to death by lethal injection Friday. The 56-year-old made no final statement and kept his eyes closed as the drugs were administered. He was pronounced dead at 6:13 p.m.

Williams was convicted of killing 39-year-old wife Linda Williams and 12-year-old son Shaun in June 1991. Authorities say he took them across the state line into Sumter National Forest in South Carolina, where he killed them.

Now that's what you call good Karma. Sad part is the good tax paying citizens of South Carolina had to feed and take care of this guy for almost 18 years.

My only regret other than the loss of innocent life: he could not be executed twice. Once again, the willfull taking of innocent life REQUIRES the death penalty.

Not in Maryland!

He got a nicer end than they did.

On the death penalty and Governor's O'Malley support for repealing the death penalty in Maryland. I was a bit confused when O'Malley recently stood before the committee discussing the death penalty in Maryland and referred to scripture extolling the value of all human life. Yet O'Malley, a Roman Catholic, has absolutely no reservations against the termination of unborn human life. The Catholic Church believes and teaches that life begins at inception. Like that hoot owl Pelosi who just met with the Pope, O'Malley seems to be a Catholic of convenience. News outlets have reported that Pelosi was taken to task by the Pope for her Pro-Choice position, while continuing to take the sacrament of communion. But what would you expect from politicians who talk out of both sides of their face and believe the only right way is their way.

And does not the Bible say

'AN EYE FOR AN EYE"

Murder is murder. The person that was murdered is dead. Not first or second or third degree or pre-meditated or what the lwayers in the laws as legistrators think of as murder.

THEY ARE DEAD.

Why do we have degree of murder?

"THERE IS NO DEGREE OF DEAD"
