President Barack Obama is sternly urging mayors of U.S. cities to be careful in their spending, saying Friday morning, "The American people are watching.” The President went on to tell the U.S. Conference of Mayors meeting Washington that the $787 billion dollar economic package will help struggling cities. But, he reiterated that both Washington and the mayors have a responsibility to spend the money wisely so that the American people can regain the confidence of elected officials. "If a federal agency proposes a project that will waste that money, I will not hesitate to call them out on it, and put a stop to it. I want everyone here to be on notice that if a local government does the same – I will call them out on it as well, and use the full power of my office and our administration to stop it." After the President addressed the mayors, he stepped off the stage to shake hands with the local officials.

I heard a couple of days ago that one of the beaches are going to dig up their concrete boardwalk and replace it with boards. This, in my opinion, is a waste of our money.

Nor will they obtain the required $1,000,000insurance policy this bill requires if passed. If passed, and if you own a gun but fail to get the required insurance, you'll be committing a felony.
I am telling you, the secular-progressives, with their support staff the ACLU and the main stream media, are quietly pushing us down the path to Socialism. While we're being dummy-downed and enamored watching American Idol, America, and everything that made America great, is being dismantled. Obama's not going to attack the Second Amendment, he and his wacko socialists will just make it impossible to own any firearms. Wake up America!!!

There was an article in yesterdays Baltimore Sun about how Obama "snubbed" Baltimore Mayor Sheila Dixon and revoking an invitation he extended to her for some offical mayors event in DC.
