What ever it is, it is magnificently beautiful and gives one a feeling of the power of the universe and how insignificant we are, and how lucky we are to be able to experience such a force of nature. Beautiful, so beautiful.

It makes you think...everyday, when you wake up in the morning, you should feel like you can Ride Any Wave that comes along...good OR bad!

Hold on for a minute, is my old big board still up in the attic? I spent 6 months on the Pacific coast of Mexico searching for the perfect tubular formation, waking up to the rumble of a good morning surf.

You could actually feel the impact of the waves hitting the shore from 200 yards away. No where near this big though.

You are right that is Jaws my bad. Maverick is much more left breaks and sometimes closeout early which really isn't the best part of surfing. Isn't Maverick where Mark Foo went down for the last time?

They get good big waves there but dangerous due to the closeouts and rock bottom reefs. They'll beat the crap out of you if they don't kill ya.
