Citi Rose Bowl Commercials

Joe:

I know you're not a huge sports fan so I don't expect you to be sitting around watching the Rose Bowl. While I'm enjoying the game, the break away for a commercial and when they come back it's, "Welcome back to the Rose Bowl, presented by Citi."

Citi. The same benefactor of millions and millions of OUR $$$$. I'd feel better if the commentators would say, "Welcome back to the Rose Bowl, presented by you, the Taxpayers of the United States."

Gotta love the good old USA and the bailouts. Your tax dollars at work!

I was thinking the same thing during the last game the Citi Bank guy was interviewed " we love doing this it's a great ex pence but we love doing it..." and blablabla. I'm thinking asshole if it were not for a bail out you'd be flipping burgers by now.
I LOVE football but its pom-pas for these bailouters to be throwing around money they ain't got!

Side note I was hoping Penn would beat down USC...but not looking like thats gonna happen. :'(

What about the 40 mil they're (Citi) forking over to name the new stadium the NY Mets will play in next year.

40 MILLION! For a fraking name on a stadium.

It should be called U.S. Taxpayer Park. It does have a certain ring to it.

USC is kicking a$$.

Penn State sucks and shouldn't even be in the Big 10.

Try again - That's 400 million for 20 years at Citi Field, home of the Mets. You underestimated by a factor of TEN!

Jason S. and all you guys that support the multi-million
dollars we pay guys to play a game.
It's out of control. You watch the games , thus you support the commercials etc. I cannot justify
paying anyone a million dollars to
play a game . This country will change , and the people that support this activity will change too.

I can't wait to how may commercials we pay for in the Super Bowl. Commercial time is checking in at approximately $3 million per every 30 seconds. I can't wait to see how many finance companies and american auto companies have commercials that we paid for! By-the-way, it is $3 million per 30 seconds - that means that a 1 minute commercial aired 4 times is a $24 million ad cost! Besides, Super Bowl commercials aren't what they used to be; we used to have fun and entertaining commercials that viewers would actually tune in for. Now, they are over run with pharmaceutical ads and investing companies. The funny thing is that America is so broke that we can't afford to "Get it up" (by that I mean purchase these performance enhancing pharmaceuticals) and the investing companies are poorly investing their money in these ads because hardly anything in the stock market has had a great return over the past year! These people need to see what they have done to my 401K! Buying that ad time was a poor investment and they think that I would actually let them handle my funds? Oops....I forgot, they are already handling my funds by way of the bailout! The commercials better at least be funny! It's ridiculous.....
