I guess these thugs don't know that you don't play in Wicomico County anymore. Good job WCSD

All the drug dealers must have seen that sheriffs car with the bent bumper and know Mikey needs to replace it. LOL Good way to keep drugs out of the county, keep wrecking cars so dope dealers can buy new ones. ROFL

We need to support the idea that funds and property seized by the Sheriff's Office should be used by the Sheriff's Office to obtain the best equipment and training available to keep our deputies safe and to make sure that they have everything they need to keep our communities safe. Ask your Councilman where it goes. It goes into the general fund to be spent on who knows what. Any property lawfully seized by law enforcement should stay with law enforcement to fight crime.

Probable cause was developed ? Now it is good that a couple of criminals were apprehended but how is probable cause developed ?

I wonder if they were really speeding at all or did the deputy just pick a out of state vehicle and pull them over ? I feel this is a serious question that should be asked. Are the boys in brown becoming above the law and bending the rights of people by making illegal searches of vehicles and hoping to fall into a crime ?

It reminds me of all them check points where a officer detected a faint aroma of "pot". And then proceded to do a illegal seach and siezor. Food for thought. Thats all.

The "aroma" of marijuana is probable cause for a warrantless search under "the Carroll Doctrine". (Carroll v U.S. 1925)

I that case the odor is the PC.

In the case of many traffic stops, probable cause is developed when the totality of the circumstances indicate that there is probable cause. This could be any combination of things including court accepted criminal indicators. At that point "Carroll" gives them the right to conduct a warrantless search due to the fact that the vehicle is readily mobile.

Probable cause = that amount of evidence necessary to convince a reasonable and impartial person to believe that a crime has been or is being committed and that the people to be arrested or search has or is committing that crime.

Think about it. You walk up to a car and the passengers open the window. The odor of burning marijuana comes rolling out from inside. What do you think.

Now you stop a car for speeding. The driver has no license with him but gives his name and date of birth. He states he was going to New Jersey to visit his mother and that the passenger is his cousin. You then question the passenger who states that he is the drivers neighbor and friend and that they are on their way to New York to visit some girls they met on line for a few days. They have no luggage. You issue the driver a warning for speed and he signs a name that is different than that which he gave you only moments ago. As you question the driver, you notice that small beads of sweat are beginning to form on his forehead and that the carotid pulse in his neck is becoming visible.

What do you think?

Its really a comforting feeling to know we have so many druggies passing through town - or living right here in Salisbury. I keep my car doors locked at all times anymore even when just getting into my car at night, or walking out of my office after dark - its like I have to take my life in my own hands to just walk out the door anymore! Pretty scary!!!!

Let me guess....Democrat.
How would you feel if these thugs had killed one of your loved ones because the officer did not have what you define as solid probable cause? Were you there to witness this alleged breach of these pitiful peoples rights? Until you are you have no right to question the instincts of an officer. I personally am a strong believer in personal rights but those rights do not include possesing unpermitted loaded handguns in your vehicle especially when you have a felony conviction.
Open your eyes. It has become a dangerous world. If the police did not do their job you would probably be the first one to whine.
BTW. I am not a cop.

Follow the money, check cell phone #'s. Both carrying loaded firearms with each having restrictions is a felony in itself. Good Job getting more guns out of the hands of criminals. Now look for the kingpin in those cell phone records.

Hey call it want you want. I guess Dave Chappelle said it best if you where a whores uniform then one just might think you area whore. If you dress lije a thug then you probably are one. It is o.k. for an A/A if they still want to be called that to call a guy from Willards a RedNeck. I guess the term revers descrimination needs to be cried. I am angry over my Jewish ancestors being enslaved. maybe I should just hate all Germans. One can see where this going. Give it a "Break". There is a Black Troopers Coalition, If there were a white troopers coalition there would be an uproar. If you do not have a job and you drive a 50,ooo dollar car and have one three punds of gold then yeas no matter what color you are something is not right. In fact the Delaware State Police had a class in the academt called profiling the drug trafficer. It is walks like a duck and quacks like a duck then it just might be a duck. Whatever systenm used to aprehend these thugs is fine by me. Great Work ACE Team. Keep up the war on domestic terrist that is just what these two are. The only thing between the good people of this county and the turds you locked up is the Cops out there risking it all for those around us. The bravery and intestinal fortitude of all the officers in the crime haven of a county is us. Stay strong dont let the nay sayers beat you down. I will work as hard as I can to see any criminal passing through or living in this county behind bars. It is a war out there keep up the fight. As for you criminals dont rest, dont slow down because we will hunt you down like dogs and put yu in the cage that keeps you from the good in this society. You two sleep tight in the Wicomico County Hilton the beds are great and the food even better. next tell your thug buddies to take 95 we dont want you on our roads. great reporting Joe. We need a hard labor camp in this county like they have down south. Maybe them help damn up the water treatment plant in the shitty doesnt spill into our river, better yeat just let them take a dip that is worse than jail time. have a Delmaralous Day.
