Remember Those Winds The Other Day

Believe it or not, I'm still doing catch up work since the Holidays. I've been so backlogged I'm having a difficult time catching up. Nevertheless, I snapped this picture of a local neighbors Farm showing just how far this thing traveled because of the force of the winds recently. We have those Eagle Gas Tankers traveling Spring Hill Road multiple times a day and for once I'm going to say I'm grateful for the telephone/utility polls on the side of the road. Unbelievable!

Joe - that is a new proto-type of a traffic slow down device! You would be amazed at how many people actually slow down and gawk.

Actually, this feed tank was braced to prevent this from happening. It was located on the west side of the manure shed (building on the far right of the first picture) and rolled
approximately 800' or 900' before stopping at the pole. During it's journey, it turned sideways so that the wind was going through the tank rather than against the side and that helped it to stop at the pole. If it had continued across the road it would have been stopped by the woods. Thankfully its path of travel, there was no danger to anyone's homes.

Hopefully, in the next day or so when it stops raining, we can get it back to its rightful storage place.

Howdy Neighbor!!!!!

It's not very often in life we capture unusual things like this and I thought it was cool. Thanks for the update, WOW! I should have explained how there is nothing around should it have continued going. Bad Blogger! LOL

Loved the Christmas lights, by the way! I see your other neighbor across the way went all out this year too. So Festive!
