If it weren't for Campbell & Cohen the audit wouldn't be available for the public to review so easily. The city would probably still be sweeping problems in the finance department under the rug too.

Probably says Oland needs to go get a job she can that suits her talents because it sure isn't financial management.
If she was all that and a bag of chips Perdue would have made her an offer she couldn't refuse and she'd still be there.
Truth be told Perdue probably paid the city to take Ms. Oland off their hands.

I personally disagree with you anonymous 1:24. I think Mr. James Caldwell is doing a bang up job with Public Works. Just imagine how well he could do if Barrie Tilghman weren't there!
I would also reconsider Newell (Chip) Messick and Karen Reddersen. I also think Mr. Hoppes is the subject of poor leadership. While some disagree with me, I believe he is an honorable man who is just doing what he is told. Now, I could be wrong. I don't work witgh the man and I do respect what others from the Fire Department say but I have never seen a thing where he has stepped out of line. For all I know the guy may hate me, I don't know but that wouldn't change my mind about what I think of him. Chief Webster hates me but I don't think he's a bad guy. I feel as if he's being lead around by the Mayor and does what he is told. I also think he SUCKS as the Chief of Police but that doesn't make him a bad guy.
I'd like to see more discussion on this post about what everyone else thinks though.
Joe I thought you were smart enough to see through people like Rick Hoppes. I used to work with Rick and he is the laziest person that I ever saw. He never was a firefighter and he is actually to obese to put on breathing apparatus now. I watched him stab several people in the back to get where he is now. He is one of the most undeserving people in the fire department. I thank God every day that I don't have to be around him anymore. Not only is he lazy he is a thief and an adulterer.

I agree with Joe, from either being at council meetings myself or watching on PAC-14 for his tenure, Mr. Calwell does his homework and during his presentaions he can tell you facts from 2004-05. Jacobs couln't remember what happened last week.
Mr Caldwell also drives his own vehicle saving taxpayer money at any amount gets my repsect. You can't just dump everyone, I wouldn't want the entire city staff thinking they were all getting fired.
I'd start with, Oland, chiefy and Chambers. Take Chambers pay and have a mayor or city manager that has a clue.
