Ralph McIntyre To Run In 1st District
I finally learned the name of the individual challenging Shanie Shields in the 1st District City Council Race. Ralph McIntyre, a resident of Vine Street has registered to run. The more the merrier, I say.

I do not know either person, but as objective feedback "the more the merrier" in political voting terms is not necessarily the best advice. Think how cats named Perot/Gore/Nader/Lieberman{Palin?} 'split the vote' when a clear ultimatum/referendum is the most needed. To paraphrase the ultimately ill-fated "Jimmy Altieri" here- this isn't the "Dave Clark Five" these days..someone in that district needs to step up like a "supreme commander."
Mr. McIntyre is a nice man and does care about our city, he probably doesn't want Shanie to get to comfortable thinking she's got no challanger. Things are going to get interesting, there's just no rush, being ready is more important.
If its the same Ralph McIntyre I think it is, you won't find a better man! If its the same guy,he is an older gentleman who used to work at Acme on Civic Avenue and trust me if it is him that is running, he will get the job done and will NOT kowtow to landlords or any other special interests other than that of the people.
Thanks you for that piece of information. It's not like I was able to interview the guy, (like John Wade) and ask for his drivers license, in which Wade refused to show me. Because he was a CON MAN. LMAO!
According to the Times on line, the man is looking to supplement his income to the tune of 10 grand per year.Isn't that the same reason that the incumbent is sleeping in that chair already? This city needs real change. Is there not one person in District 1 that wants to serve his constituents?

Who is Ralph McIntyre? What is his background? What has he done in the community? Does he have any experience or qualifications?
4:19 What qualifications are you looking for bankrupcy or non payment of child support?
Is Tim Cheney going to run for this seat -- he would have my vote for sure if I lived in that district.
Has anyone tracked down exactly what Shanie's new address is? Is she legally qualified to run again?

Does Bubba Comegys?
Bubba's record includes:
1. Bankruptcy
2. Divirce on grounds many find immoral
3. Child support delinquency - contempt of court.
What more could we want in a mayor!
One correction: Rev. McIntyre lives on Winder St., not Vine. He is a retired minister.

I have heard rumblings about another candidate for District 1, but it's not Mr. McIntyre.
Let's get Shanie out of there. She'll suck up to Ireton, but she'll continue to vote with Louweasel and Bubba.
