"Break In, In White Haven Part II

I want to thank all of you who have contacted me about this unfortunate Family. I had to put up another Post because we need to let everyone know that the Family is not looking for any help, respectfully. The attempt here was to get the information out to everyone with the chance that someone saw the truck on the property or even the suspects.

Clearly, all of you have incredibly kind hearts and the Family thanks all of you sincerely. Sadly, the thief's took all of their jewelery and get this, they actually took two gingerbread ornaments they had made off the Christmas Tree, went into the kitchen, poured themselves glasses of milk and ate the ornaments from the tree.

In the very least, the people of Whitehaven will keep a better eye on their community and these people will be caught. So thank you again and Merry Christmas to you all.

OK, the family is proud and strong, we appreciate that for sure. How about this: $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the ********.

It's extremely unfortunate these people robbed this family of their Christmas. What's disturbing to me is this: what could motivate someone to break into a home and steal things like wrapped christmas presents from under their tree? Someone mentioned in the previous post that in a community like Whitehaven, that the people responsible likely lived nearby and I have to agree--in fact they probably knew the family to some extent. It makes you wonder about the economic times we're living in right now--perhaps these people stole so they could provide christmas for their own family? I'm not by any means trying to justify what they did--its cruel and utterly disturbing, but it does make you wonder--to what extent would someone be willing to go if they got desparate enough?? I just have a feeling that incidents like this are going to become more commonplace as the economy continues to struggle. I hope that the people responsible are caught and prosecuted to the full extent and I also hope that the family is able to salvage their Christmas and enjoy the holidays.

I think it was nice to feed the ones who have now allowed the family to claim a insurance claim in for that box of money that was taken. How nice of them.

They still have small town mentality down there, a good thing, they do watch each other's backs.

I wouldn't say we have a small town mentality at least not like it used to be ,because many of the local residents have only lived here a few years. We do however take pride in our community and don't take kindly to perpetrators.I quess we all need to become a little more vigilant.
