In 2006 a nine-year-old girl was held down in the cubby of a Seaford church while an eight-year-old sexually assaulted her.

The eight-year-old pled guilty to lesser charges in exchange for testimony against his older accomplice.

In the end the accomplice was found innocent after the judge cited too
many "inconsistencies in the testimonies" of the eight-year-old.

One teen went free the eight-year-old was registered as a tier two sex offender.

Throughout the years the victim has been through counseling, but her mother says has never and believes will never fully recover from the terrifying attack.

Yesterday morning the victim's father left for work, but never returned.

And then the phone call.

His car was found running in the parking lot of a Dunkin Donuts with him dead inside of it.

An autopsy is being performed in Baltimore, Maryland, but the family says after that they have no way of getting his body.

The mother has no money for a funeral and because the kids did not get to say goodbye she desperately wants a viewing for them.

A fund has been set up in their name to help pay for a viewing and cremation.

The mother asked her story to be told in the hopes that her daughter could say goodbye properly to one of the only men she has ever and may ever love and trust.

This is terrible, but maybe dad had enough pride he would rather die than live with the shame of being un-able to support his family. Still think this country cares, I know exactly how he must of felt.

Suicide is never an option.. no matter what the circumstances

People need to overcome life's troubles ---if everyone just axed themselves when times got tough where would the USA be.. the depression, world war I and II etc.. where millions died

Just keep faith and hard work

Where is Charles bronson when you need him. This type of offender will rarely if ever change. death Wish was agreat movie the system would unclog if more people took true justice into thier own hands. In a civilized socitey one cant do this for a plthera of reasons. It is to bad if you ask me. The stress probably took a toll on this man. It is ashame he could not take the adult offender with him if he had to go. To this family my thoughts and prayers go to you as well as an offering to assist you in this hour of tragic need

Suicide is the ultimate social commentary. You obviously don't understand the meaning of the word option. An option becomes a reality when it is EXERCISED. Saying something is not an option, is like saying freedom isn't free.
