FYI I heard Greg Bassett say on WQMR radio during Tuesday's broadcast that The Daily Times was going to start a new bloggers site.
He didn't mention your name specifically, but, I know what he's up to. His paper is losing market share big time and he wants to mimic your site in hopes of drawing new business."

Well Joe didn't invent the idea of the Internet. Maybe DTimes will offer a forum? Where member accounts can be created and topics/comments can be created without approval. That would trump a blog.
Perhaps it's not too late for them to redeem themselves in our community, but as an industry, the print media is doomed.
They should have started the process of creating a truly unbiased blog a few months ago. It would have served the segment of the population that isn't mean spirited and narrow minded.
They're going to have to get out of Barrie and Gary's hip pockets to really do their jobs, however.

The issue as I see it, is that no matter what distribution median the Bassettman uses to disperse his form of propaganda, it will fail.
The man is as incompetent as they come whether it be in the printed or electronic version.
So Joe, you have little to worry about from the DD, as long as the Bassettman is in charge the DD will continue to fail.
Maybe they will allow comments that disagree with them.
Their proof reader must have quit or got fired too, they are sending all proof reading to the third grade class at wicomico's kiddy daycare.
Their current website is a mess.
