Casey Anthony indicted for murder today

After months of her ducking and dodging law enforcement at every turn, the infamous Casey Anthony was indicted today in Orlando on charges of first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse, aggravated manslaughter and four counts of lying to investigators about the disappearance of her daughter, little Caylee Anthony.
Sources report that Casey's father , George, testified Tuesday behind closed doors to the 19-member grand jury along with a detective, a cadaver dog handler and an FBI agent.Casey,22, is being held without bond.
Although no body has been found, States Attorney Lawson Lamar feels confident that there is enough evidence to convict Anthony on the charges.
I am no legal scholar and opinions vary wildly on this subject, but I smelled a rat as soon as this story made the press months ago. As the mother of a little girl,I know for a fact there is NOTHING that would prevent me from cooperating with the police if my child was missing.Casey Anthony waited over a month before reporting her daughter's disappearance and even then gave them a B.S. story that turned out to be unsubstantiated. The tabloid press has had a field day with stories and photos every week revealing Anthony to be a "party girl" who resented her child for "interfering" with her good times, and while I take those sources with a grain of salt, she has done very little to prove otherwise. What makes me even angrier is that she was not alone in raising her daughter-in fact, her and Caylee lived with her parents and they appear to have been doing most of the work involved in raising the little girl.It wasn't like she snapped and had nobody to turn to for respite.
I could care less what happens to Ms.Anthony but I hope and pray that she will stop stonewalling and lawyering up and just come clean.Little Caylee and all the people who really loved her deserve some closure and if possible,a proper Christian burial if she is indeed deceased.I will be following this case very closely and hope that justice will prevail. We have got to stop coddling these twisted selfish people who decide they do not want to be parents anymore and make an example of them so that maybe no more children will be lost.Your Mother is supposed to be your caretaker, the one person in the world with whom you feel safe and loved.Sadly that is not always the case.
Ms.Anthony would do well to keep in her mind that Florida has a death penalty and they are not squeamish about sending convicted murderers to Death Row.If she is foud guilty,I hope the jury will not be hesitant to sentence her to the full extent of the law.

who really cares? How many other children are missing but we hear nothing?

as Nancy Grace said about the chicken crossing the road...She's guilty!
What's taking so long? The decomposed material in her trunk oughtta be enough to put her away.
I surmise the child drowned in the pool while she was hanky panking with her boyfriend. She didn't know what to do, so she put her in the trunk, all the while forgetting how hot it gets in the summer. A little Chloroform, in case she rouses, and there you have it. Put her in a trunk and see how long it takes for her to spill her guts.

As anonymous 8:08am says there are alot of other missing children out there. This story has become one that I have followed every nite. My family and I were in Florida on vacation (orlando) when this story broke. Even after visiting the parks when we'd come back to our hotel I would watch Nancy Grace. She has been great in following this..My comment is this: never in all the nites of watching this has that so called mother showed any sorrow. No tears..If that was my child they would have to sedate me to keep me calm..She has shown her guilt from day one..I just hope they can find her body and put her to rest properly..God help her...

Wouldn't it be a better world if girls/women like Casey Anthony were given appropriate sentences for their crimes against children AND be prevented from having more children. These women have been given a chance to be nurturing mothers and have failed miserably. Our society is filled with formerly abused/neglected children who are now rapists, murderers, drug dealers, etc. Not fair to the children or society.

Helen Keller could see this chick was guilty, but it always goes right back to everyone giving women the benefit of the doubt..lets be honest, had this been a man he would have stayed in jail evidence or not. Furthermore they had a motive, and the woman obviously didn't care that the girl was missing. She doesn't need to die for this she should go to jail for the rest of her life. Death is the easy way out for these types of people. Anyone that can take someones life should be left to live out there days thinking about it. That is the ultimate punishment.
