The Democrats Strike Back

If you're a minority and you're selected for a job over more qualified candidates you're a "token hire."
If you're a conservative and you're selected for a job over more qualified candidates you're a "game changer."

Black teen pregnancies? A "crisis" in black America.
White teen pregnancies? A "blessed event."

If you grow up in Hawaii you're "exotic."
Grow up in Alaska eating mooseburgers, you're the quintessential
"American story."

Similarly, if you name you kid Barack you're "unpatriotic."
Name your kid Track, you're "colorful."

If you're a Democrat and you make a VP pick without fully vetting the
individual you're "reckless."
A Republican who doesn't fully vet is a "maverick."

If you spend 3 years as a community organizer growing your organization from a staff of 1 to 13 and your budget from $70,000 to $400,000, then become the first black President of the Harvard Law Review, create a voter registration drive that registers 150,000 new African Amerian voters, spend 12 years as a Constitutional Law professor, then spend nearly 8 more years as a State Senator representing a district with over 750,000 people, becoming chairman of the state Senate's Health and Human
Services committee, then spend nearly 4 years in the United States Senate representing a state of nearly 13 million people, sponsoring 131 bills and serving on the Foreign Affairs, Environment and Public Works and Veteran's Affairs committees, you are woefully inexperienced.

If you spend 4 years on the city council and 6 years as the mayor of a town with less than 7,000 people, then spend 20 months as the governor of a state with 650,000 people, then you've got the most executive experience of anyone on either ticket, are the Commander in Chief of the Alaska military and are well qualified to lead the nation should you be called upon to do so because your state is the closest state to Russia.

If you are a Democratic male candidate who is popular with millions of people you are an "arrogant celebrity".
If you are a popular Republican female candidate you are "energizing the base".

If you are a younger male candidate who thinks for himself and makes his own decisions you are "presumptuous".
If you are an older male candidate who makes last minute decisions you refuse to explain, you are a "shoot from the hip" maverick.

If you are a candidate with a Harvard law degree you are "an elitist-out of touch" with the real America.
If you are a legacy (dad and granddad were admirals) graduate of Anapolis, with multiple disciplinary infractions you are a hero.

If you manage a multi-million dollar nationwide campaign, you are an "empty suit".
If you are a part time mayor of a town of 7000 people, you are an "experienced executive".

If you go to a south side Chicago church, your beliefs are "extremist".
If you believe in creationism and don't believe global warming is man made, you are "strongly principled".

If you cheated on your first wife with a rich heiress, and left your disfigured wife and married the heiress the next month, you're a Christian.
If you have been married to the same woman with whom you've been wed to for 19 years and raising 2 beautiful daughters with, you're "risky".

If you're a black single mother of 4 who waits for 22 hours after her water breaks to seek medical attention, you're an irresponsible parent, endangering the life of your unborn child.
But if you're a white married mother who waits 22 hours, you're spunky.

If you're a 13-year-old Chelsea Clinton, the right-wing press calls you "First dog."
If you're a 17-year old pregnant unwed daughter of a Republican, the right-wing press calls you "beautiful" and "courageous."

If you kill an endangered species, you're an excellent hunter.
If you have an abortion your not a christian, you're a murderer (forget about if it happen while being date raped.)

If you teach abstinence only in sex education, you get teen parents.
If you teach responsible age appropriate sex education, including the proper use of birth control, you are eroding the fiber of society.

If you're a Republican senator who solicits gay sex in an airport bathroom, you get to return to your job in the Senate and are encouraged to run for re-election.
If you're a Democratic Senator who is out of public office and have an affair, your political career is over and your wife who has terminal
cancer is to blame.

And finally:

Quiz question for the RNC, specifically those on the Religious Right.

Who is one of the most revered, and famous community organizers in history?

......
.........
............

JESUS CHRIST

I told you they were angry.

I'm a strong social conservative voting for the Constitution Party, but I agree with this.

This isn't angry. Mere statement of facts. So, I'll add to the list:

If you're Republican, you get to spew distortions and it's called a brilliant campaign strategy.

If you're a Democrat and respond with cold, hard facts, especially on this blog, you're angry.

BTW, McCain's and Palin's ridiculous statements of yesterday showing that they are both brain capacity and knowledge impaired are just the start of their downhill descent. They've both peaked.

McCain's manager, Rick Davis, said this election is about image, not issues.

McCain and Palin are about to lose on both.

Dont you just love it, these folks think they are running against Palin for president , because they know that Obama is no more qualified for the job than Barrie Tilghman would be. He is a community organizer who was recruited by a terrorist (Bill Ayres). and brought up in the way of a marxist (Saul Alinsky), supported a group by the name of ACORN which has been indicted and convicted of voter fraud. (They are some of the ones who like to sign up dead people to vote.) Obama is one who says tyhat it is the fair thing to do when told that a raise in the capitol gains tax would actually decrease revenue to the federal govt. I could go on and on, but you get the point.

WOW Joe, Whoever said you were a biased blogman was wrong. This piece does point out some of the distortions of the republicans, And the right has done the same.
Both canidates have allowed themselves to swim on the bottom with personal attacks. Don't tell us the facts on what is important because I only need to know who wears my shade of "lipstick" to vote properly.

Thanks for posting the other side--I hope some of you Palin lovers read it and think a little bit before you get hoodwinked into voting for McCain. You do understand that you are voting for McCain, not Palin, right? McCain is an honorable man who is running a dishonorable campaign--the shame is that it was apparently the only way he could get support.

I'm exactly surprised this showed up on this site.

Must be the "token" oposing view blog.

"Dont you just love it, these folks think they are running against Palin for president"

You have to think that way... good chance that health concerns would pop up over the next 4 yrs for McCain.

Easy solution is to vote Obama

1/3 of men over the age of 72 display signs of dementia within the next 5 years. Do you folks really want to gamble with that?

Thank you Joe.

According to Wiki, 8 United States Presidents have died while in office. of these 8, 4 were assassinated. Therefore I do not think the argument that Palin is more likely to be president is a valid one, a president is just as likely to be assassinated as die from natural causes. Isn't it more productive to just say you don't agree with and/or like McCain than trying to predict the man's death?

According to the liberal press, what is the difference between a gathering of democrats and a gathering of republicans? The democrats are protesters the republicans are a mob. I love how the democrats think Obama is the new Messiah. Nice reference to Jesus. Thou shalt not follow false prophets.

8:08 AM, if that list is what you call an unbiased statement of facts then there is no hope. I've never seen a VP candidate scare the other side and energize their own side so much in my life.

Don't believe the propaganda from either side. Just support whoever you think will be a better leader for this country. I believe it will be McCain.

Jesus was a Liberal.

The Jesus I know came from Nicaragua and worked as a landscaper. He was a liberal also and collected his free government money. Our taxpayers money.

8:33, the broken record.

Palin is the Barrie Tilghman here, with her $22 million saddle of debt on her little town. Go look into Palin's sports center. Makes the $10 million fire palace seem like a walk in the park.

Political retribution? That's our little Sarah! Just like Barrie. One of her more endearing qualities.

Hey, but the election's about image, not issues. That's what you elected Dubya on, too -- ABOVE McCAIN! And Palin is just Bush in a different package.

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result!

If you publicly state that we need to redistribute the wealth, your a Marxist A@@hole!
Obama should be shipped off to a more suitable country, like Cuba!

Heavens sakes folks. We have two candidates for President. We should be concentrating on them. Don'tcha think?

Harry S Truman was vice president when Rosevelt died. He was a good president, in my opinion, if you have read your history "they" blasted him for his lack of experience.

Richard Nixon was vice president for 8 years, and President for 8 years. And he had alot of experience. In my opinion he was a true criminal.

Lindon B Johnson was a vice president and a president for one term. He had lots of exprience, and he will not be remembered well either.

Gerald Ford was vice president and president, and never ran for that office. He was a prominent member of the Congress. In my opinion he was a simple man, and he held the ship of state steady, the press made a fool of him at every opportunity.

Al Gore was a presidential candidate, a vice president, a nobel peace prize winner, and he was given a difficult time by the press.

Walter Mondale was beaten about the head and shoulders as a presidental candidate after Jimmy Carter...

The history I see does not bode well for the Vice President, the office is a cerimonial one, and perhaps some good is served, but, hardly enough to worry about some of the issues people are bringing up.

I think Biden has the most experience in "government" but we are not talking about Biden, I think Obama is the most intelligent, and I believe he cares about this country as does McCain. To me there are issues, and those issues and the level of ability to "make tough decisions" is what I will base my choice for PRESIDENT upon, we cannot predict the future, we can only guess...as the past 60 years has shown there is no "pattern" there is no crystal ball.

I hope that people vote in real time, with real issues, and that the crap of politics by "lipstick"
is over soon.

Palin is a flip flopper.

She pushed hard for the bridge to nowhere until it became blindingly obvious it was not politically expedient. She continued construction on the road to the bridge to nowhere afterward.

Then she lied through her teeth with the sound bite comment about her big NO THANKS to Congress on the bridge funding.

What do you get when you support a pitbull with lipstick?

The road to nowhere.

Hockey mom? Just which of her kids plays hockey? Oh yeah, her future son-in-law, Levy-Unbuttonedfly-Johnston.

That pregnancy is a shining example of her parenting ability and just how effective teaching abstinence only works.

Well I can't help but believe McCain is the lesser of two evils.
What does the average middle class voter really want to get out of this election. I have to believe we want what is best for us personally then what is best for our greast country. If you just look at all of the past democrats you have to see they want big government and to control everything in your life as well as more and more welfare programs health care included. If everyone gets free health care who is paying the bill for it. Yes you guessed it it will come right out of the average middle class workers paycheck. If Obama is your choice be prepared to pay seven dollars a gallon for gas because of the increased taxes he will put on gas also taxes to pay for health care for the lazy non working that just don't want to work. If they would work they would have health care. Then there is McCain who wants smaller government and tax cuts. Remember that economic stimulus check you got. How many democrats ever gave any of your tax money back? Thats right none. But I bet all you democrats cashed the check and spent the money. And then there is this great country we live in. Obama seems to be a one worlder. Not much patriotism just a citizen of the world. McCain on the other hand is a patriotic American who loves this country was willing to give his life for it and a war hero. Which do you think will do what is best for our great country.
You guessed it again. The obvious choice on that one would be McCain.
So there it is like it or not. I think the government gets more of my check now than they need so why would I want to give them more of my money. I have to say I have a big house payment and two car payments and I need my hard earned money to just live and get by. So the choice for what is best for the average American it would have to be McCain. Sorry all you democrats out there but look it up in the history books and you have to know I am right about this.
