The Tawes Clam Bake Expense

Perhaps we should consider all of the other Regional attractions like the Ward Museum and so many others involved. I should add, S.J. may not have asked his question properly. You see, the Zoo could have been billed separately for the Zoo through the Zoo Commission and the expense could actually be twice what they're claiming? Either way, that was an expense close to $2,000.00, add at least another $2,000.00 in salaries for everyone to be there.

The Tawes Clam Bake is not the place to market anything. It is, has always been and will always be a political event. Go tell that marketing crap to people that don't know the area and the events held here.

It wasn't a marketing event for the city. It was a big party with their own tent. John Pick, the Mayor Tilghman, Deputy Chief Bill Gordy, Vice President Gary Comegys, Chief David See and other department heads and city employees and their guests were drunk on their asses. That't right, a major party at Tax Payers expense.

The question I want to know is did John Pick, Chief David See, Chief Webster and other city employees take vacation time or were they there representing the city of Salisbury? If they were their representing the city then why were they drinking until they were intoxicated while on the clock? If they used vacation time then I want the city to prove it to the tax payers?

As far as giving the water away that was left over from the Maryland Municipal League conference why did they have to buy water? Why did they have to give water away?

Now if it was a marketing strategy how many people said "damn, I have to visit that city?" Not one person was even interested in Salisbury at that time. Sure, drunks looking at other drunks from Salisbury was a great marketing tool. NOT!!

This is pure fiscal irresponsibility and the mayor needs to be held accountable.

How about "The zoo used to be one of the featured and favorite attractions in the city- until sheer negligence took over the animal's welfare".

What BS!!!
I would bet money there was not one person at that event that did not know about Salisbury and what it does Not have to offer.
So John Pick, Louise Smith and Barrie Tilghman---go blow that smoke up somebody else's a$$.
By the way John and Louise---sorry to tell you, but you were not convincing On PAC 14's puff piece in responding to these questions.
