The Isabella Street Fiasco!

Let me first start out by telling you who was on this little board called the Process Action Team. BARRIE TILGHMAN, JENNY CLEARY AND MICHAEL DAY'S WIFE! What does that tell you for starters? The details of their findings never went public. That is, until now!

So was the one brick crosswalk they just installed at the N. Division Street light also included in the predetermined amount? Or do we get charged for that seperatley?

Had a guy from out of town ask for directions form the store at the corner of Nanticoke Rd and R 50 to the Hampton Inn on N. Salsibury. Three locals told the man to take Issabella St to 13 and go left. We explained that he will come to an abortion in the street where you will weave in and out enough to make a trooper think you were drunk if you were on a straight Rd. The out of towner who had been to Salisbury before then lit up and said Oh My God! I remember that mess, whats up with that. We all just had a good laugh. To the people behind the idea, Thanks for creating such an expensive memory jogging landmark.

anonymous 12:56,

That was not asked in his question, therefore they did NOT include that in their answer. That being said, yes, it was an additional expense.

All I can say is Barrie Tilghman needs her damn head examined - she is absolutely nuts - she just spends money to spend it, how ridiculous! Soooo much needed in this city and the fool does this kind of nonsense.

You know what I find interesting?

Making decisions like this when everyone knows the connection between Michael Day and the Mayor is one in which ANYONE ELSE in Office would have said, you know what Michael, I can't even touch this one for you. Imagine what the taxpayers would say or do to me if they ever found out?

INSTEAD, this Mayor slaps everyone right in the face and says, tough sh!t. Unbelievable.

The absolute arrogance of this woman is what is unbelievable to me. I was at a luncheon the other day, sitting around a large table filled with people whose opinions are respected here in this city. Not one...I repeat...not ONE of them could come up with a positive comment about this administration.
Not everyone was willing to openly condemn them all, but when asked "what have they done to make this city better?" there was no answer. Maybe, like George W. Bush, she's hoping that history will be kinder to her. No hope for either of them. They're both idiots with a blank check.

her prioritys are all screwed up, its not even her money, $45,000.00 for bricks, that more than the cops get paid isnt it? actions speak alot louder than words sometimes.

Can someone tell me what all the white markings located just South of the overhead bridge on 13? They are on both sides of the road and seem similar to the ones on Isabella St., looks like maybe some more money being spent for nothing?

Will this $2700 be spent annually for flowers to be planted on Isabella St or did they plant perennials? Who, working for Public Works knows anything about landscaping and maintenance of perennial flower beds? Will this job be contracted out to a landscaping company? Will this cost become a permanent line item in the city budget?

Those costs they list for the bricks and plantings, does not include labor, I don't believe? I am assuming it was city workers that had to handle that and there should bew a cost figure available for that labor. There was also a full resurface of the road bed. So what did that cost and who paid for it? Right now it surely looks like it pays to be an FOB.

Joe,

I did not post that last comment. Someone is pretending to be me again.

What's the deal with the barge that is sunk at the extreme head of Wicomico river at Isabella and Mill Streets. I've noticed it sunk for over 3 months?
