"This past weekend I was driving North on 13 to do some shopping when this kid flys by blasting his music. I pull into Staples parking lot and he pulls in a few moments later, parking in the handicap spot. He leaves his car running, music blasting and goes into the store for about 10 minutes. SPD was called but they were unable to arrive to ticket this guy before he came out and left. It appears he came to Staples to pick up his girlfriend for they next went to Walmart where he again parked in the Handicap area. What a winner we have here. The top photo is at walmart and the other 2 are at Staples. If anyone else sees him doing this please PD and notify them with hopes he gets a ticket. There are so many people that need the spot that his is taking up."

It's really not his fault...... They typically don't post handicap spots in trailer parks, so he is probably not used to seeing them.

This guy is a nuisance. I have seen him numerous times flying down the road with the music blasting. Besides those tires are illegal on that vehicle. No more than two tire sizes smaller or larger than stock. I guess SPD doesnt care.

"RIMS" as they're called now! i see that piece of crap all over town every day... and the car too! SPD shouldn't have to look very hard for that idiot!

What an attitude, absolutely needs adjustment. I don't want to hear some loud *ss music from another car. These people think their preferences should be considered over everyone. Talk about self-sentered and selfish. I listen to what I want in my car and expect others to do the same. If I wanted to hear that CRAP I'd have it on in my car. He must be handicapped, he can't read. Hope he never has a handicapped family member who actually needs this parking space. It may be taken up by someone else.
How hard is it now, they've got a photo and the tag number. If photos can get you a ticket for running a red light why can't they get you a ticket for parking in a handicapped zone without proper tags?

no that car does not stay in the 400 block of truitt, he may be over there but lives by the college with his parents. the police don't need this pic or tag number they know him by name and know his vehicle well he's in and out of jail. he's been for more things then i can count.
In NY, all you have to do is snap a pic of the vehicle in the handicap spot making sure the tag number is clear and send it in and the vehicle owner gets fined! Sounds like a good idea for MD and DE too!
I live out of state and come to Salisbury on business every few months. This jerk and I have had words twice already. I am entitled to park in the handicap spaces, and have handicap tags from my state. I try not to use these spaces if it is only a few car lengths more that I have to walk. I pulled into Wal-Mart one day and it was crowded, but I spotted a space at the end and headed for it. This guy whipped around from the other side and cut me off while my blinker was blinking and I was starting the turn. I could see he had no tag and PROBABLY wasn't entilted to the space. When he got out and started to walk off, I rolled down my window and told him he "forgot" to hang up his tag. He yelled "f.u. granny;
shut your f'ing face or I'll rearrabge it for you." I took off and dialed 911, since I had been threatened. When I told the person who announced the nature of the call, he hung up on me! So much for the police and/or sheriff's office. Then, 2 days later, this same guy ran a stop sign near SU and almost plowed into me, then shot me the finger. He is a lovely young man, isn't he? Did I mention I am 78?
He's met and matched wits with an angry granny, the spd, the wcso, but it'll be the blog that brings him down!
You know with the attitude this "winner" has he WILL bump into the wrong person , on the wrong day , and get his.

This guy should be damn glad he never met up with my MomMom Winslow, rest her soul. She grew up in prohibition and frequented speak-easies and carried a "lady's gun" in her rolled stocking. At the age of 92, she was still driving and on her own, but she used crutches to walk. Some guy once grabbed her purse off her shoulder, bringing her down to the ground in the process, and took off running. She still carried that gun, so she pulled it from her stocking and shot him in the ass! He lay there screaming and threatening to sue her or kill her, and when the police got there, he wanted to file charges! She just laughed and said go ahead, your fingerprints are on my purse, @#$%^&*! She showed the police her gun permit, the guy was locked up, and noone ever messed with her again!
Nor is NOT butthead of the week, he is butthead of the centry. He was a brat at Pinehurst Elementary School. He has gone down hill from that. His attitude at school was that he could do whatever he wanted to do, and there was no-one to stop him. He would not take any direction from women, and damn little from men. He needs to be back in jail, and not for parking in a Handicap spot. His father has raised a monster!

Is Nor short for Norman?? I saw his car an hour or so ago. He was hanging out at a barbershop (I think) behind computer world on Snow Hill Road. He looks like a thug. His girl should be able to do better than that. If you see him parked in a space he shouldnt be in, or anyone else call and complaind to the cops.

Illegal parking aside, if this guy cussed out a 78 yr old lady he needs to get his ass kicked and learn some respect for the elderly and women.I,too, had a feisty grandmother -my Moms Mother owned and operated a small business with her husband and had some rental properties at one time.Whenever she went to Salisbury to collect rent or go make a deposit she had her 38 pistol under the drivers seat of her car!I miss her shes been gone 7 yrs~
Grab the keys when they leave and toss them onto the roof of the store they are in. I wish this was local problem but stupidity is a wide spread problem.
