Yes, Mr. Underwood did in fact call me today AND FLAT OUT LIED TO ME! That's right, he LIED. He tried to tell me he didn't buy a cooler and some of my fact were wrong. I said, OK, let's say you didn't buy a cooler. Did you buy beer? He replied, yes, I'm over 21 and of age to drink. He continued to imply I was wrong in my post and guess what, I have come to learn I was wrong.
You See, it didn't happen at the Super Soda, it happened at CHEERS! So don't call me and ACT like I was completely wrong and feel me a bunch of bullshit! Some of the details were sketchy but the fact remains, he did it, his fellow Officers know he did it and quite frankly he took full responsibility for doing it.
I'll add, it is under investigation through the Mayor's Office and upper management, (Chief Webster has been out of Town) so there has yet to be a suspension. That too was inaccurate. So you tell me Folks, Cheers, Super Soda, does it matter? He also tried to tell me he wasn't on the clock. BS! I'm told he was. I hope Officer Underwood has learned to follow department policy and will avoid any acts of misconduct in the future. Also, I hope when bloggers submit irrelevant, over-the-line comments about someone's family, they will not be posted in the future.
Even if MOST of the facts were wrong, the bottom line is this: My understanding of the SPD policy is that there is to be no alcoholic beverage of any kind at any time in a vehicle, marked or unmarked, belonging to the department. So, he broke the rules and deserves a suspension, IMHO. And if I am wrong about SPD policy, I apologize in advance, but I don't think so.

being a BLOGGER the facts are not as important as the opinion given. yes the officers in question made a mistake. the mere apperance of wrong doing here is enough to convict. suspension is probably called for but not a long suspension. I know both officers in question and the facts without someone elses opinion. the biggest mistake was making the purchase on company time and putting the purchase into a marked car. if the car had been unmarked the same violation would have been done, but nobody would have heard of it.

I take SERIOUS issue with the people who are dredging up the sins of the father here. Just because you hear something and believe it to be news, it isn't unless it is accurate. Ones opinion isn't news. I think that there needs to be a determination as to whether this is a news blog or just an the opinions of people who run it.
I do believe that you would never pick up a paper and read some of the nasty filthy words that have been said here. Ask any prosecutor (former) from the states atty office and they will tell you that Underwood is a sketchy officer with questionable integrity. Okaaaaaay! Now we still don't have the facts...you are making the topic Bill Duvall is a loser..okay he lost the case but....where is all of the posts regarding the almighty Deputy Avnet and what he did to this lets say challenged individual. Did Mike Lewis defend the actions of this wanna be cop who thrashed an innocent man around on the floor for no reason what so ever? Did the grand Jury consist of Mike Lewis's Family members? Tell us the whole story.

Where is the story Joe? What you posted was about the lawyer who obviously lost the case due to the good old boy system...Come on show us the post and comments of how this poor guy was assaulted over and over by Officer Evan Avnet. He disgracrd the Sheriff's Department but you didn't let it linger too long and you didn't post the police brutality that it was.

I could be mistaken but isnt there a law or rule regarding posession of alcohol in an offical city police vehicle?
I am tired of people defending cops when they break the rules they make the rest of us abide by.Thats why I cut them no slack and think no one else should.

I have stated this time and time again. We Posted on a different location for about a year and the Site completely crashed. I do not have that Post but like I said, no one is claiming, (besides you) that I didn't post something about that.

You know what I find interesting Folks. I want you to look at the time on each one of my comments today. That's because it will show that I have left the house several times to cover different events, hence the brwak in time. However, notice how quickly the replies are AFTER I return. There is probably one obsessed Salisbury Police Officer determined to go on the attack, (probably 21 years of age, or so) thinking he's defending his Brothers.
However, I have also been on the phone with several of his Brothers who think he's an Idiot and does NOT represent the entire Force. Each one of them said it's probably ONE Officer and no more.
Nevertheless, as I have come and gone, this person has sat around the computer the entire day coming back with ridiculous replies and he still can't come up wwith ONE case where I held anything back. Remember now, they implied it happened over and over again and I have proven that's not true.
