I started smoking a boston butt for pulled pork BBQ around 11pm last night. It should be done around noon.
This afternoon brings the food, lots of beer, and fireworks!
I will be working all day in spite of back pain that is so bad I'm nearly incoherent; in spite of the fact that it's taking 30mg of oxycodone even to touch the pain, because everyone else "has plans" that are apparently so important that they just can't be changed to help me out of of some of the worst pain I've ever had. I just hope someone can pour me into a jar and get me home at the end of the day.
I have to work today. Tomorrow my niece way down in Virginny is having a surprise birthday party for her husband. I'll do my celebrating tomorrow, even have a driver.
Go for a couple dips in the pool and pig out. Happy Forth to All~!
I plan to go to the airport to welcome home someone from Iraq whom I've never met. My brother is still over there. I hope when it's his time to return someone will do the same.
Then I'm off to see the fireworks!
im having pulled pork, crabs,corn,deviled eggs, mac cheese,shrimp,baked potatoes and a whole loot of beer,(maybe some, well you all know)...
