Look Who Wants A Break From The City Of Salisbury

Something is obviously wrong with the City of Salisbury's meters. We own a house in the city that was vacant for for about 8 months in March of 2008 we recived a water bill for over 400.00. We called the city to question this bill and we were told we must have a leak somewhere. We had the entire house inspected and there were no leaks anywhere. Called the city back only to be told we had no choice but to pay the bill because the meters were correct. They suggested that maybe a neighbor was using our water. HAha. Needless to say we were selling the house and in order to go to settlement we had to pay the bill. Screwed again by the Great City of Salisbury.
That is interesting. I wonder if the city has a way to check for underground leaks? That may be the problem, if it is actually between the building and the meter. Seems to me the city people should check this first before sending out oversized bills.
This is what you call buying votes for Mr. Comegy's next spring. Let's see how he votes on this today. If this were a Camden resident...it never would have gotten this far.
This is happening all over the city with the meters. I have gotten about 5 or 6 of those yellow cards saying that I have a leak somewhere. I have checked every time and I have no leak. I called the water department and they said they checked and nothing was wrong on their end. The has been happening ever since they put in the new meters. The last time I called they told me they it would cost me $25 to check the meter if I wanted them to check it and nothing was wrong, but they wouldn't charge me if something is wrong. What a rip off. They are trying to intimidate you into not getting them to check their own meters with the $25 scare tactics. My neighbor never got the leak notice but she complained to the right person and had her meter checked and it was faulty so she got a credit in the amount of several hundred dollars.
Everyone needs to complain about this rip off. It wouldn't surprise me in the least bit if the meters weren't rigged.

Maybe they filled the pool with it?
When did Lore Chambers become ACTING city administrator?
Canal Woods II - doesn't Louise Smith live there?

Barrie did that to justify those huge pay raises that L. C. has been getting in the past 2 city budgets.

A. Goetz
listening devices are commonly used for the detection of underground leaks. The city used to "borrow" one from a local underground contractor.
Maybe Louise left her tub running?
possible the increase was caused by the set of buildings there working on, the construction workers may be using water from the same line.

Louise Smith is President of the Canal Woods Association. Phillip Bradshaw was her campaign treasurer. Conflict of interest to say the least.
Like Mike Dunn she'll vote to get what she wants until someone points this out to her.

Louweasle had best recuse herself on this vote.......... Code of Ethics prevail over her Rules of Conduct
Vote on it at your own risk, Louise.
Lore' is movin' on up.
John Pick has got to be able to read the writting on the wall
John might be one to keep, the way the mare has treated him, as soon as she's gone I'd be ready to blow the whistle if I were him.
Lore can't just take Picks job, his position is by appointment.
Who appoints him the council? Not being a wise ass just curious.
where's the know it all with all the answers?
So . . . what happened on this at the meeting yesterday?
