Question of the Day, Wed 6/4

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? As an adult, what is your profession? Do you still have a dream to become something else?

I am 49. As a kid I wanted to do something with animals. A vet or perhaps a zoo keeper or something. As I got older and realized that I needed to have a job inside, where the temperature was regulated, I decided to become a computer programmer. I am now a computer analyst. I am happy with my decision. It is challenging and you never know what the day will bring.

I wanted to be a M.D. Currently in businesss, and making my way to Real Estate. But....I am only 25 and can do that :)

I fell in love with the idea of becoming a Navy Nurse after reading an article about one in a magazine not intended for reading. It was in an outhouse at my Grandma's house when I was in 3rd grade.
I did become a nurse. Alas, would have been better paid at UPS and with "benefits" never offered by PGH.
But, I lived my dream, and only regret not joining the Navy.
