No Power As Of 8:01 AM This Morning!
Parts of Salisbury is shut down! No street lights, no power! Many believe the run off from the WWTP has finally taken its toll on the underground power lines, LOL.

There was an accident in front of Taco Bell on the south end of Salisbury that took out a pole shutting down electric to those in the area...
A friend who worked there said the "meat" @ Taco Bell comes in this big roll and looks just awful. She used to call it the mystery meat delivery! I NEVER eat there....gross! countrygirl@heart P>S> I'm near Pine Bluff and we've still got power. Wonder how far it extends?
Sorry to hear about the accident but was delighted to learn the outage was not caused by a STRAY bird. Could someone get the Daily Dissapointment to tell us country hicks the defination of a stray bird.
Several years back, maybe even like 7 years back, a seagull flew into a transformer at Popeye's on South RT. 13 and shut down power to the whole area, Super Giant's entire shopping center and every other business from College Avenue to Main Street was without power.
Wondering how long it would take to repair and how long our business was going to be shut down I walked down to where they were working to inquire. There it was dead on the ground, a Fried Seagull.
Agh, maybe a dumb question but will the new WWTP be equipted with a generator to keep the flow going in the event of heavy rain and a power outage? Or is the city going to use the general rule of thumb and just let it overflow into the Wicomico River as usual?

Taco Bell, WWTP, what's the difference, right? ;-)
Have to agree with you on that one Joe, I've never (and wouldn't EVER) eat food from that place - heart attack waiting to happen! :-)

Any news about the accident?
Taco Bell is like eating soggy dog food, smells just like it. No thanks.
If you want to chase ambulances, go for it. You'll have to call the Fire Department or PRMC to get the answer to that question.
We live on Camden and South Blvd. and our power was out for an hour and a half. We are a few blocks from Taco Bell, the junk food place.
