IntoxicGate III

Today, the Public Works Department at the Landfill were up to what seems very suspicious activity and became quite bothered when I arrived and started taking pictures.

In fact, one of the upper managers, (I'll assume) who had given me a hard time the last time I was out there confronted me again today and asked what the hell I was doing? I happened to be on my cell phone when he started giving me the third degree and I said, what's your name Sir? He replied, that's not important, you need to leave. I stated I was on a public road, (nicely) and he continued to demand that I leave. I asked again, can I get your name please? NO! I said, if that's how you're going to be, I'm not leaving until I get your name, will you give me your name please? He replied, Mike Hayman. I immediately said, thank you Mike, I appreciate that very much. Now, are you asking me to move? He stated I was in the way, which I was not. I was certainly not in any ones way But I said, where would you like me to go? He pointed behind me and I immediately moved my vehicle.

The next thing I knew, he had returned and pulled directly behind me, came to my vehicle on foot and said, you have to leave and you cannot return until you have written permission from Rick Pollitt to be here! I responded, now Mike, this is a public road and I have every right to be here. He said, leave and get a note from Rick, you cannot be here.

Well Folks, you know me, I stayed right there and I called Rick's Office and by all means they stated immediately, you have them call me and I'll get it straight. I walked up to Mike and said, I think you better call Mr. Pollitt's Office, I'm not going anywhere.

If you'll recall photos I've produced over the last two week on the Landfill and the run off all the way to the River, out of nowhere today they chose to BLOCK OFF that passageway from the stream that runs down Brick Kiln Road, as seen in photos above. They have placed a huge diesel pump into that stream that pulls directly off on the second pond from the huge lake at the Landfill and they are now pumping that water into a recently cleared out field across the street. The photos don't lie.

I have been in contact with Mr. Jim Fineran who stated to me this has to do with the new collector road and not from the lake at the Landfill but I was there, WMDT was there and quite frankly, this water is being pumped as a result of water from the lake at the Landfill, period.

There was a ton of rain over the weekend and something strange is going on? What I can tell you is, they cut off the path to the River and used huge pieces of equipment to do so. I'm going to make another trip half way down stream and see if the flow has been restricted. If it has, I'll have my answer.

I should be fair and state the following, which came directly from Jim Fineran. Keep in mind, this is what he has been told. "I have been reassured that today’s water moving has nothing to do with your (or 47’s) story. It is part of the prep for the West Side Collector Road. It should be over by tomorrow…Wednesday latest."

Thanks Jim.

I hope you don't go anywhere without a camera, a witness, or a video camera. It seems like you're becoming a "60 Minutes" reporter here in Wicomico. Keep 'em honest, Joe. No one else will.

Joe, you have no idea of what you are talking about. Mr. Fineran is correct. Todays project has to do with the new collector road. When work is done in areas with water, water must be either dammed or diverted. THAT is what is happening here.It has absolutely nothing to do with the landfill. The guys working on that particular project could care less about the landfill or your claims about the water. As for being asked to move, you were inside of a work zone. I would have asked you to move also. Your buddies from channel 47 who were so hot to get to what you thought was a juicy story couldnt even pull off the road all the way (illegal). It took a call to the station manager to get her to move because she was being stubborn. This has everything to do with safety. What if someone hit your vehicle, or you for that matter. I guess you would have had another story to cover. Just because someone labels themselves as press doesnt give them free reign to go wherever they choose. That is an active construction zone. Just so you know, the next time you or channel 47 is in the way, or blocking traffic, there will be a call made to the sheriffs department and they will come move you. If you dont believe me, try it.

I believe Mr Fineran has forgoten who pays his salary! If he thinks I' goin to pay him to tell the public bare face lies and those 1 line political statements, he's full of it! I dont think his position is of that much importance anyway, we certainly dont need another "skirt around the truth" personel. I think we should send Mr Politt a letter INSISTING, ANY county employee acting in any manor to defraud,lie,cover-up, deceive, over look {by accident or on purpose} ect... ANY PUBLIC INQUIRY, WILL BE TERMINATED IMMEDIATLY. If Mr Fineran thinks there will be now acountablity for this, He's WAY wrong. I have only to wait for the test results. I honestly believe purposly and knowingly poisoning our waterways, land and well water sources is nothing short of terrorisum. I have absolutly no hesitation in placeing individual criminal charges for such.

Sincerly,

Yepp they are going to be putting in concrete pipe where the road cross's brick kiln. The water will be back flowing when the pipe is installed. There is nothing fishy going on at all. They should be starting the work first thing tomorrow or the next.Maybe you should go out there and take a look of the big excavator putting in the pipe.DUMBASS

What a load of crap--the most obvious reason is usually THE TRUTH!! They are covering up their tracks, sure as anything. Lying thieving bastards.Love how the Daily Times editorials whines about saving the bay but doesn't give a rats a$$ that Wicomico County and City are dumping unfiltered storm water and untreated sewage into the river. HYPOCRITES.

Joe, I would give MDE a call straight away.

Joe, what has become painfully obvious, largely because of your exposing government wrongs, is that we cannot trust anyone in government.
If I were Rick Pollitt right now before I let anyone do anything about waste water etc.,I would call Joe and say come on out and watch what is happening and why.

It's all over the news tonight about they've tested 24 resiviours across the US where wwtp's deposit, tons of chemicals now in drinking water, if you eat enough fish you wont get pregnant. Can you emagin whats in our river, between the wwtp and the landfill. We may have just raised the cancer rate for the easternshore.

You all are more than welcome to come out there for the next couple of days and rubberneck pass us as the pipe is being put in the ground where the stream is.

Joe,Remember I told you about that sweetheart of the record deal regarding the connector road from the other side of those woods from Levin Dashield Rd. to Crooked Oak? That's all done in an effort to take what was a cesspool after every rain right of the roadway across from the landfill where they were hiding it today. All this hush hush has been for a few clear reasons one being the alwys known fact that the landfill waters runoff to the Wicomico River, second that the water floods across the roadway you were standing on today, the fact that they've built up the road has help just a little. They have been illing in the Rai Sharma Memorial swamp at a rapid pace to get the road base and asphalt down before the cat got out of the bag! This is just the tip of the iceberg!

hmmmmmm sure does look like a massive cover up. Talk about damage control.

Anonymous said...

If this was preplaned then there should be something in minutes or work orders that can prove just that. How about a water run off study ?

Anonymous said...

You are obviously on the right path. Why do the employees have to be so defensive? If they've participated in something wrong, why don't they admit it and help fix it. Why pollute the river?

Anonymous said...

JOE, Not everything is what it seems. It was obvious when I drove by what they were doing. It is called "BYPASS PUMPING", it is a common procedure to install culvert pipes were there is running water in the ditch line. Regardless of where the water is coming from, they could not install the pipe properly without doing so.

Joe
I have seen no news on the announcement of the new auditor, whats up with that?

Why are streams being piped? This is a barbaric practice.

joe albero said...

Has anyone noticed how all of a suddent they're speaking? We, (47 News and Salisbury News) stood out there asking questions, even asking names and no one would speak.

OK, now it's just a pipe to go under the road. First of all, there's no STREAM. It's a man made waterway manufactured to take water from a huge lake at the Landfill and they send it through man made channels all the way to the Wicomico River. There's already a pipe that crosses the road not 50 to 100 yards from this location and across the street from where they're talking about, guess what, there's no water there.

So obviously they're planning on another pond or man made stream.

9:35...the question is not "how to install a culvert" The question is WHY! and WHY NOW? In the middle of an investigation and inquiries, they suddenly deside to divert the toxic waste. They think getting rid out the stuff is their #1 priority....ITS NOT! Getting rid of it RESPONSIBLY and CORRECTLY should be their priority. They tell the workers and the public "Todays project has to do with the new collector road." in order to shut everyone up and keep the poison flowing.

Hey Joe,
Why don't I see anything about this story on 47's web page?

Anonymous said...

Its not on 47 because they have to report the truth, which is the contractor is putting an access into the property adjacent to the landfill and must divert water for a day or two so they can put a pipe in the ditch in which to put the entrance over. Nothing fishy, therefore no story. Sorry Joe

Well I guess we will let the water run across the road,RETARD.

Stonetech is a concrete recycling site for the landfill.
Instead of the concrete going into the landfill taking up space this company crush's it and it is used as a road base which I use in my driveway .Its great stuff and its cheaper than anywhere else and its nice to know that they are helping the enviroment.

I saw a camera man from 47 news hanging halfway out the window with a camera on his shoulder driving down Brick Kiln RD at the same area of the construction that is going on.Goes to show you they a willing to kill a camera man to get a shot of a machine putting in pipe for a new highway.

Hey maybe next week you can take pictures of me fixing a pothole in the road. You can call it MEN WITH REAL JOBS.
