You who sit and judge Avnet.....Who the hell do you think you are? Were you there? Did you see what he did? What if he'd done nothing and the guy had stabbed the clerk? Somebody would have wanted to sue him and the Sheriff's Office. Look, these men and women have split seconds to make decisions that could change the rest of their lives....and they do this everyday. Then.....those who wish to second guess thier actions have forever to do so.
Robin Roberts did the internal investigation. I know Robin personally and if that Deputy had done something wrong, Robin would have charged him. It makes no difference whether the person wears a badge of not....to Robin, if your wrong you're wrong. And if you lie to Robin....you're done.
As the Sheriff, Mike Lewis saw to it that the investigation was handled properly. The kid was cleared. Get off his friggin back.

I don't need to cover up anything. Since you know so much, show us what he covered up. We'd all like to know. Enlighten us. I've never known him to cover up anything. I've known him to be abrasive, argumentative, contrary, and evil at times. But when he has a job to do, Steve, he does it. You might not like the results but I think you'd find a thorough internal.
