Texas DOT Vehicle

Texas DOT Vehicle stopped by an alert DPS Trooper on I-10 between San Antonio and Seguin, TX

The Mexicans cloned a Texas DOT Truck and got busted smuggling drugs...
I wonder how long they got away with it before they got busted?

Let's give them more welfare money, more of our Social Security money, and raise your taxes to fund their free-ride...

Not that I would ever suggest how Mike Lewis do his job but it sure makes you wonder around here, doesn't it?

Really?

So some creative drug smugglers are "The Mexicans" and are collecting welfare & social security.

Illegal immigration is a serious problem that needs to be addressed, but unthoughtful commentary like those remarks do not help.

How about...

1. For US citizenship by birth, the parents must prove that they are legally in the country (Visa, "Green Card"), otherwise, as soon as mother and baby are safely (from a medical standpoint) able to return to country of origin, off they go.

2. Actually enforcing laws regarding employment of illegal aliens.

3. Recreate a migrant worker program like the Bracero program, let's be honest, many of the jobs that are being done by illegals are not in demand by residents of the US. Let's "in-source" some labor, let them pay some taxes, contribute to medicare/worker's compensation programs with a portion of their wages.

Can you verify this with any news link? I have checked and can't find anything on this except a couple of blogs. You would think if this was an actual story that you would be able to find it on FOX,CNN, CBS, NBC, ABC or something. But nothing! Hoax stories can be made to look 'real' by adding pictures like those in this article. I am not saying this 'is' a hoax, but I can't find anything to validate it either. I even checked the TX DOT website. I have also written to them and snopes to see if either can verify this.

I had this verified by a Texas State Trooper. The source stated that, "this seizure happened awhile ago. We receive the official message the day or day after a Trooper makes a seizure. It would be difficult to pick out a fake TXDOT in a large county, such as Harris, because there are so many official TXDOT vehicles on the road. In a smaller county, TXDOT and TXDPS would work together, and in this case they knew that the vehicle did not belong."

talked to "a" state trooper. yup!! verified enough for a blog!

Some of the types of things depicted in this story possibly have happened. And while I do agree that people should come to this country by legal means, I do not think that all illegals are drug dealers who are draining our system - and therefore deserve to be hated -- or killed. The tenor of this story was very hateful and racist and in my opinion. Who knows where these stories and pictures came from or if they are even real?

And I don't think it is appropriate to say "The Mexicans cloned a TXDOT truck" as if "the Mexicans" are who did it instead of an individual -- who could have done this were he white, black, or whatever. And it didn't say "this illegal Mexican" - it just said "The Mexicans." We need to be careful that we do not generalize too much - that is how subtly hate is spread... when we start to think that people from other countries or cultures are different from us - we begin an "us" against "them" mentality. After all, aren't we all children of the same Creator?

Mexicans are people too. The handful of illegal Mexicans who inflict crimes against our country are bound to be much less in number than the actual legal Americans that currently fill our country's jails due to their crimes against us as a country. And I harldly think the "Mexicans" actions are powerful enough to "catapult the cost of living" in our country. What a baby wrote this story! What a vicitim. Hey I know! Let's pin our problems on a group of people. And if we can get rid of them, we will all be better off. To me, that sounds like Hitler's ideology. I'm sorry - this story was disturbing to me - I hope it was to all of you too.

Is Mexico empty yet..? How come they dont just clean up THEIR own backyard, get themselves a decent government, then they'd resist the urge to come here - unless on vacation.
For an "Ancient and Noble" culture, they sure have fucked their OWN house...or is that America's fault too...or Chris Columbus..or those wacky Pizarro brothers?
You see, many many many countries (China, France, Germany, Japan, Austria, Italy, South Korea, etc..) have had their share of invaders, war, famine, pestilence, and general bullshit. BUT, the difference between them and Mexico is apathy.
Shed the apathy, change your government, pick yourself up..dust yourself off and lets cut the shit. You blame America for EVERY-Fucking-thing wrong in your lives. "We HAVE to send drugs to el-norte BECAUSE THEY WANT THE DRUGS." Waaaaahhh.
"America stole our land." Waaaahhhh.
"Our Government is corrupt." Waaahhh.
STFU and TRY HARDER! You have little to NO tolerance for illegal immigrants crossing YOUR southern border...yet you whine and gnash your teeth about OUR right to control illegal immigration. Fuck off. Call me a racist, fine. That's a cop out and YOU know it, it's EASY to whine and moan about "fake racisim" (it puts some whites on the defensive).
But the truth is simple - you would rather run from a leaky roof than fix it.
Like many Americans, we don't really give a crap about supporting Mexican Slave Labor. Companies paying crap wages don't represent the American dream. Me personally, I'll PAY $2.00 for a head of lettuce - IF THATS WHAT IT TAKES to stem illegal immigration - and drugs! BUILD THE FENCE HIGHER!

some pretty bold criminals there...but on the subject of illegal immigration. Its not racist to want people to obey the law. If you cross the border illegally, then you have no respect for our country's law and have no business here...it doesn't matter where you came from. But tell me why its the hispanic/mexican community that yells the loudest when the US talks about stemming ILLEGAL immigration? Guilty conscience? Where are the rallies to support an Irish woman who was married to an American and has a child here and gets deported when she becomes widowed? too busy demanding our welfare system support a mexican woman who sneaks over the border to birth an anchor baby? If you ran across the border in any other country they would typically shoot you.

someone said they couldn't find this on an actual news site. KVUE news from Austin reported on this. It was also on TXCN Texas Cable news website. Obviously not important enough for national news nor would they report this especially since this type of news counters their pro-illegal immigrant stance.

1ST OFF, IF YOUR PAYING $35 A QUARTER, YOUR PAYING $10 TOO MUCH. 2ND, THEY WERE CALLED "THE MEXICANS" BECAUSE THEY ARE MEXICAN, SMUGGLING DRUGS FROM MEXICO, DUMBASS! 3RD, WHY WAIT UNTIL AFTER THE KID IS BORN? THATS OUR TAX DOLLARS PAYING FOR THAT, PLUS THAT MEANS THEY GET TO STAY HERE. YOU WAIT FOR HOURS AT AN ER BECAUSE HOSPITALS ARE REQUIRED TO TREAT ILLEGALS, REGARDLESS OF INS. OR MONEY. NO INSURANCE OR MONEY, NO PROBLEM, WE'LL PAY FOR IT! HOSPITALS SPEND BILLIONS IN DOLLARS ON ILLEGALS EVERY YEAR, DONT BELEIVE ME, GOOGLE IT. PEOPLE, HOW ABOUT YOU DO A LITTLE RESEARCH BEFORE RUNNING YOUR FUCKING MOUTH! TO ANONYMOUS THAT ASKED IF MEXICO WAS EMPTY YET, BRAVO! i APPLAUD YOU & ITS NICE TO KNOW THAT THERE IS INTELLIGENCE LEFT IN AMERICA, THANK YOU.

This tale of a "cloned" TxDOT truck has the smell of a (false) urban legend. To the anonymous writer who said KVUE and a Texas cable news outfit aired the story, tell me when they ran the story. Googling turned up no such story, and TV stations often keep archives where you can find story with keywords.
The vagueness of details as to precisely where and when this happened is mighty suspicious.
