Not only is this Billboard Sign out of control, many just like it are located all around the City of Salisbury and they are not being properly managed.
Once a contract seems to be over, the Billboard Company waits until someone comes along to rent it again and until they do, they just let it go and fall to pieces. In the mean time, there's litter everywhere and quite frankly, it looks like Da Bronx in New York City or even better, Newark New Jersey on the Jersey Turnpike!
I have posted this in the past and obviously whatever threats the City is making on Clearchannel isn't working, so it's time for some new legislation whereas the City can simply fine them for LITTERING????????
If this were a residential property, oh, let's say on the West side of the City, the fines would be through the roof. You know, just enough so the people there couldn't afford it and the City could pick up that home for nothing because the people can't afford the fines.
Let's see if the City will act on this and see if they actually fine these people?

I have to respectfully disagree with this post.
Clear Channel is a good company. It is a company that have always strived to be part of the solution in our community not part of the problem. They work & donate sites to various civic organizations to promote their message throughout the community.
They also manage thousands of billboards. A phone call would suffice to bring their attention to a site that may have fell throught the cracks.
Are you kidding!! Clear Channel is part of the problem with this country. Have you ever read how they mistreat employees? They are a monopoly that is now feeling the pain if the economy. They go in and buy every radio station they can and tell everybody else to f off. Concert halls, billboards, communication. Look up GREED and you will find the name Mays attached!
I hate clear channel so much...always have. It is a company based on numbers. clear channel does not care for people or employees. Notice I did not capitalize the company name,...it does not deserve the respect or credibility.
Clear Channel really does SUXX!! I'm a former emplyee. They could give a crape about the people it is about numbers. They started this re engineering stuff in Febuary. What that meant for us emplyees was to get rid of our co workers and load down the remaining people with the extra work load with no extra money. I saw a guy that was there for 26yrs lose his job due to numbers. I hope for this company to go bankrupt soon. They have destroyed radio accross the country. Mark P Mays and the giant Greed corpration. People like the Mays family have destoryed our country. Please write the FCC about these guys. They need to be stopped!!!!!!!!!!!! Total Destruction to Clear Channel Radio and the mighty Mays family.
Clear channel is appropriately named. They buy a local radio station and immediately "clear" out the entire station staff, kill off local programming, put in electronically syndicated programs, then "channel" all the profits to their centralized corporate greed center. Clear channel represents the lowest of the bottom feeders and the most disgusting extreme of human greed, avarice and lust for money. It is a shame that the bought-and-paid-for FCC allows scum like clear channel to destroy the American tradition of quality, local radio programming.
