Taliban warns U.S. "will soon regret" abandoning peace talks

Kabul, Afghanistan — It was just after midnight on the morning of September 11 in Kabul when the sound of an explosion echoed across the capital. A couple of phone calls confirmed that a rocket had blown up inside the compound of the U.S. Embassy. Mercifully no one was hurt.

It was the first incident since President Trump abruptly announced that the U.S. peace talks with the Taliban were off.

"They're dead. They're dead," Mr. Trump wrote. "As far as I'm concerned they're dead."

China is supporting the Taliban financially in streaming the Taliban's drugs to America. Don't think talking is going to do much for America. The Taliban hates America. They always will - they are evil. Should be removed from the world map

Now Trump is going to sic our troops on the Taliban all over again and make them pay. No more police action and just being there to train the Afghan military. The Taliban had a chance to participate in our withdrawal. Now they will die at the hands of our military. The Taliban are stupid people living in the stone ages. If they had any sense, they will rue they day the decided to negotiate in bad faith with Trump. Trump will have no regrets. The Taliban will. Trump will see to it.

Talks will accomplish nothing. They have an agenda and will not stop till they achieve it.
