Stupid thing to do but at least he had the balls to man up.
No, his mother might have tried to raise him right but didn't quite make it to the top with him. He stole the sign and only returned it after seeing the pictures all over facebook. His real plans were to take it home as a souvenir.

if his mom raised him right he wouldn`t have to return the sign because he wouldn`t have stole it in the first place! mom raising him right had nothing to do with him returning the stolen property, being arrested, charged and tossed in jail had more to do with him returning the stolen property than anything his mother tried to do to raise him right.
