yet another waste truck roll over Been trying to tell Wicomico County this is whats going to happen with that tank they are allowing to be build in Mardela Springs.
Been there seen it back when every thing came up Salisbury Blvd prior to the by pass The turn at the hospital would wipe them out on a regular bases. That chicken fat gets in the road surface and when it rains the spill spot like the one in this incident will wipe out cars for months.
The driver was negligent, if a blown front tire wasn't the cause. He lost control of his vehicle on a dual highway without any other vehicles involved. That turnover was the result of jack-knifing. The jack-knifing was due to loss of control. Cell phone distraction, maybe? His driving days would be over if he hit or killed others as a result of negligence.
Why do you call semi's menaces? You wouldn't be eating today if not for those "menaces." How do you think EVERYTHING gets to a store from the manufacturer or distributor? That's right, it's trucks, big trucks. Those drivers have more driver training, testing and qualifications than any Class C driver will ever have. Maybe you need a class on how to respect the big rigs on the road, and the drivers operating them.
@August 12, 2019 at 12:07 PM: They are menaces. I have had several encounters with tractor trailer drivers over the years. They think they own the road. They come up behind people and get right on their bumpers. I have also seen more than one on their cell phone. Plus they fly down the road. They need to have a lot more respect with the people they share the road with instead of bullying them out of their way. Their driving does not reflect any training. Rare to see one driving like they have some common sense.
They're a menace if the equipment isn't properly maintained (2 blown tires) driven on a road not wide enough for 2 pick ups to pass one another without one having to move over. This is about location and volume not about a driver's qualification.

Why are there such deep indentations in the road from this accident? How heavy was this truck!

Can't wait to try and avoid over 500 of these menaces on Riggin Rd. Thank you Wicomico Planning and Zoning. Major accidents waiting to happen.
