Cummings' district is rife with corruption and sleazy politicians, with more being raised to take their places.
Look I am not a fan of Donald Trump, but..... to see that video of that Baltimore City Employee brutally attacked as he walked into work - the video of the kids last month wilding in at the Inner Harbor - the beating of the woman holding her child as she walked home - not that it is Elijah Cummings fault - it was horrifying! Baltimore, NOT ALL OF IT, but large sections of it are in desperate need of good strong leadership and right now I am not sure Baltimore has that. The one this I can say about Trump is he knows how to pick a fight and I am sorry he may be winning in this one.
I am not sure what you are saying 1:16 but yes all that is wrong with Baltimore City is the fault of Cummings. Not only the fault of cummings (its his district) but every single other elected official in that city and the so call faith based "leaders" and anyone else who fancies themselves leaders of some king. It is their fault because they are all lying dishonest trash and they come from generation now of nothing but garbage. None have the honesty in them to call out the root of the problem and that is the breakdown of the black family. They were taught to lie by worthless parents and blame everything on racism. The fact is racism is so nonexistent that they have to make up race hoaxes but most blacks because very few were raised right won't admit this. cummings is a nssty old lying POS who has not ever done a positive thing for his district much less the country. he's a lying ghetto hustler and so is that rank skank married to him. All that is wrong in Balto is the fault of cummings because he hasn't the honesty in him to bring out the real problem and work to fix it.
Cummings is a scum bag that does not care about anybody but himself. I don't understand why the fools keep voting for him. There was a lot of fraud, is how he won and nobody will do a thing about it. He will yelp the race card if questioned. He and his wife should be behind bars. He needs to clean up his own city before he goes elsewhere and worrying about what others are doing. No scrap that, they both should be behind bars!

I went to the VA Hospital in Baltimore. I was treated with kindness and courtesy by nurses and aides, security guards, and even parking garage attendants who are black.
Not all is horrible. God cares about that great city.

At the risk of being thought of as a racist, let me say this:
This is a group of people that voted back into office a lying, whore-mongering, crack smoking individual, to be Mayor of the Capitol if the United States of America. (Even after he allegedly received $5 million to place advertisements on trashcans on every corner throughout DC. Investigators could only find six (6!) trashcans that were ever placed. No charges filed.)
It's the promised "free stuff" to their constituents that puts people like Cummings in office.

Baltimore, my beloved hometown, sadly now is a total hellhole. Baltimore is dead.
The safest area of the city is the Little Italy area, only because every single homeowner, business owner, bartenders and servers, are all armed to the teeth, and the bad guys know it.
Safest area is Little Italy?! Boy you clearly have not been to Baltimore in a minute. I f***ing live here and can easily name 4-5 neighborhoods safer than little Italy

Possibly. But I would bet those neighborhoods have private security and/or a well-organized Community Watch installed.
Little Italy is just a few yards - a few feet! - from Ghetto housing. I doubt if the neighborhoods you are talking about are in as close a proximity to downtown as Little Italy.
Are you thinking of Guilford, maybe? Nancy Pelosi's old neighborhood?
Guilford today has, basically, their own police force, with at least four men on duty at all times around the clock.
That's not the way I'd want to live. It's a hellhole. And dead.
