Blame the town because your adult daughter sat in a hole on a dark beach and was buried alive. Makes sense....

They'll get paid out anyway. Cheaper for the town to toss money at them than to go to trial.

Contrary to the belief of some, elves do not come to clean the beach every night.

Which is the wrong attitude because that opens the door for idiots to sue over anything.

The only thing Ocean City should be found guilty of is not banning all digging of holes. Digging holes more than knee deep is banned?? WTF! Whose knees, a toddler of Kareem Abdul Jabar's?

Ban all holes.

OC might not have an option other than taking this to court. If they simply payed it more suits would follow.

Tragic maybe, liable NO! She was on the beach at an hour when it is not permitted. Case closed.

The autopsy actually stated that alcohol was a factor in her death - and she was on the beach at 2am - it’s tragic but the only person at fault was her.

Another result of too many 10 cent lawyers.

Sorry, but as bad as it was, it was all by her own hand. She did this to herself. You don't crawl in a 4 foot hole on the beach at 2 AM and expect rainbows and unicorns, regardless of how drunk you are.
