Cherry bombs,M80 and 1/2 sticks we played with.

If M-80s weren't powerful enough, did anyone ever light off a 'blockbuster'? M-80s were about 1/8 stick of dynamite. Blockbusters were a quarter stick.
Holy blaster, Batman. They made a mailbox literally disappear. Luckily they had a longer fuse, too.
Thankfully, they're not around anymore. Too many crazies would use them to do much worse than mailboxes.

School lockers were never the same.

Next in the arsenal of ANTIFA; these are the crazies 6:52 AM may be referring to.

School toilets were never the same either!

I recall what happened when a kid flushed one down a second floor toilet in junior high.

This is true
Game warden here (wic) use to give them to us by the box sometime up to four boxes
Put up a fuse rope between to poles with the fire crackers aka silver hammers spaced so they went off every 5 or 10 minutes to scare the deer out of the field they didn't want us to kill the deer
Of coarse they always were used for that purpose never a mailbox of a teacher

Scratch one Port-A-Pot. 40 years ago. Two M-80's. We could not run away fast enough!
(Is the Statute of Limitations up from this mindless - but a hell of lot of fun! - prank?)

Worked great with pumpkins and watermelon. Also,a five gallon bucket of water. All very dangerous.

M-80's
I still get them, down in Texas by the border.
Great for fishing, glue BBs on the ends to help them sink and the BB's also blast the fish!

Going to T's corner in Virginia with my buddies to load up on fireworks.

T's Corner is lame. You can get all the same stuff in a WalMart parking lot in Maryland. You want the real deal? Go to a PA fireworks factory and get the stuff pyrotechnic professionals use. Or to South of the Border off route 95 in S. Carolina. Believe me, you can't set off those explode-in-the-sky fireworks in secret. They will get attention from miles away. Be ready to launch and move if you set them off in Maryland, because the neighbors are sure to call it in (around here, it is the democrats that make the calls).

I remember, m-80's and silver dynamite. They were a blast! We had an incredible amount of fun with them. After seeing the damage they could cause, no one I knew was stupid enough to let one go off in their hand. Tried to light one and throw it out the car window once, but the window was up and it bounced onto the floor in the back seat. I couldn't hear for a week!

It's OK to buy that stuff that could possibly maim; burn; even KILL somebody.
That's OK.
But don't dare try to purchase and bring more than 2 cartons of cheap smokes across the border into MD.
For that you could go to jail.

Got 1/2 sticks from New Mexico.

We used to buy those things from Three Finger Eddie.

A few years ago I stopped in South Carolina to buy some fire crackers and was told M 80s were no longer legal but they had M 60s and they are just about as powerful.
