A study of more than 80,000 women ages 50 to 79 links drinking two or more diet drinks a day with an increased risk for certain kinds of stroke, coronary artery disease and death.
Published today in the journal Stroke, a publication of the American Heart Association, the study follows other research that previously connected the artificial sweeteners found in diet soda and other beverages with a higher risk of stroke, heart attack, type 2 diabetes, obesity and other conditions.
But the study released today is one of the first to look at the link between drinking artificially sweetened beverages and the risk of certain types of stroke in a large, racially diverse group of older women.

All studies are all waist of time and money
I have always thought since the first so called diet drink came out "Tab" that if they have an after taste, and taste funny there are additives that are not good for you. Just because something is considered "diet" or infers you can loose weight doesn't mean it is healthy. And something else to consider to diet it means they are removing something to make it healthier, just do the old fashioned thing eat less, drink water, and exercise--they are not harmful.
Thank God the men aren't affected!🤔
All soda is poison your better off drinking cheap beer.
This info ...been available for Many years Back
Gave up soda over 15 years ago. But something else will kill me. It's bound to happen!
That's because FAT WOMEN drink diet soda!
I drink carbonated flavored water with zero calories - zero everything. I know it's got to be bad for me some how.
