*Update #2* Death Investigation Ruled a Homicide

Laurel- The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit is continuing to investigate the suspicious death of an adult female victim that has been ruled a homicide.

The investigation began on March 9, 2019 at approximately 7:24 a.m., when Troopers were dispatched to S. Shell Bridge Road in the area of Broad Creek Estates for a victim that was found deceased on the side of the roadway.

The victim was turned over to the Delaware Division of Forensic Science where an autopsy was performed and the cause and manner of death was determined to be a homicide sustained from a gunshot wound to the upper torso.

The case continues to remain under investigation and anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Detective J. King at 302-741-2821. The body was supposedly dismembered and now they think it was a homicide? Wonders never cease.
