This legislation was passed by 29 senators, three of whom we had high hopes would not bow to political pressure from the Senate President, but they folded. However, Senator Jim Mathias, Senator Kathy Klausmeier, and Senator Ron Young have a chance to redeem themselves and prove that they serve their constituents and not their short-sighted political agenda. Call them and tell them that you're watching yet again, and you WILL hold them accountable for the choice they make during the veto override vote:

Gov. Larry Hogan Wednesday vetoed a bill that would remove a 50-year old process of school construction oversight, replacing it with one that gives the legislature more say and eliminates the Board of Public Works’ oversight role.
Hogan vetoed the ‘this last-minute, secret bill’ during the Board of Public Works meeting Wednesday. The move was not unexpected. The governor vowed to reject the bill even before the House and Senate completed work on the legislation.
‘The people who perpetrated this scam admitted it wasn’t about policy. They clearly stated it was about politics and childish personal vendettas. But it is serious business that will have a devastating impact on education and on Maryland taxpayers,’ Hogan said, adding it would remove authority and oversight of school construction from the three-member board he leads.”

You talk tough when your reelection draws near, and started out tough in the beginning of your term. Haven't heard or seen much from you lately as a governor. I see you as ineffective, a rino who says one thing, but cowers down to the political left. I see this as damage control, but I fear that you have forgotten your base, and because of this, we will once again have a Democrat in control as governor.
Good job, Hogan. And Veto some more, Every bill these Slimey Democrats in Annapolis cook behind close doors need to be stopped. Let me say this - Hogan aint perfect by any means, but is far better than any Democ-Rat from Annapolis Swamp.

9:21- How do you think a GOP Gov. was elected in deep blue Maryland? By being center-right. I see him as pragmatic and willing to reach across the aisle- something this country desperately needs in my opinion. I'll bet, considering his popularity, that he'll win 4 more years.

I predict he will lose on two fronts. One being his lack of support of our president and his inaction and compromise with the liberal democrats in Maryland. I am a registered Republican and proud of it, but by his actions and lack there of, he is toast!

Can't wait until the hardcore GOP fail to support Hogan so we can get back to several terms of democratic governors.
The GOP needs to find a new candidate to run for governor. If Hogan runs for another term, I think his chances will be slim to none. As a conservative and registered Republican, we need someone else to step up to the plate. I don't really want another Democrat, but this will happen if Hogan runs.
Look at Chris Christie as an example of what will happen. You alienate your base, you lose the election.
Hogan is walking a thin line knowing that it is Baltimore and the surrounding Howard, P.G, Montgomery and Ann Arundel counties that run Maryland.
Hogan is not perfect -unless you compare him to the idiot O'Malley who sold out Maryland the way Hillary sold out America as Sec. of State.
2:14 Christie served two consecutive 4 year terms. He was barred from running for a third until after another person held the position for a term.
There's just no way for any politician to make everyone happy.
Hogan didn't vote for Trump so he has lost my vote for him!
