State prosecutor Emmet Davitt announced Thursday that six inmates and 10 outside facilitators also have been indicted.
The charges include conspiracy to distribute controlled dangerous substances, conspiracy to commit bribery, bribery and the smuggling of contraband such as narcotics and cell phones.
The year-long investigation into corruption at the Jessup Correctional Facility was the result of a joint probe by the state prosecutor's office, a special investigative unit in the state corrections department and the Maryland State Police.
Authorities have been investigating prison corruption for years in Maryland. In November, 26 people were indicted in a separate case, including a correctional officer who served as a high-ranking gang member.

What? Cops and Prison Guards and people in power hungry jobs who claim public servants getting caught for corruption??? This has to be fake news, because according to the ass cheek sucking cop lovers, cops don't break laws, it is the average citizen who breaks laws and forces cops and prison guards to commit crimes and break the law... Remember it is always your fault not their own fault or their own decisions!!!! Always always remember it is your fault for why cops break the law, beat and abuse you, hate the constitution and your rights even though our rights are their rights lmao
Go back to sleep in your cell and shut up 2:29
America is mostly corrupted in a lot of ways. Now some of our school teachers are selling drugs and some people in this community knew about it and did nothing...
Why are there no corruption investigating teams in our State House's, General Assembly Buildings and other known areas where high ranking criminals and gangs hide all day?
And the state attorneys office, circuit court judges, public defenders office are told what to do and kissing everyone's as#es just to make sure they can get a little bit of the cake
Power does corrupt. Like every gangster all these people start out to make a buck. When given a foot hold over others and how easy it is to take from them in that position they ultimately begin to believe they are smarter and more powerful than others and above the law and as the upholders of law are often in the same game and they do not want to loose their position at the trough either. They believe themselves that they are altruistic public servants with humble notions. I think people are waking up to this hypocrisy and their egomaniacal predatory natures and delusions of power.
