Under Armour CEO Kevin Plank announced Monday he was stepping down from the Trump administration's American Manufacturing Council to focus on "inspiring and uniting" people through the power of sport, becoming the second CEO to leave the council in a day.
"I joined the American Manufacturing Council because I believed it was important for Under Armour to have an active seat at the table and represent our industry," Plank said in a statement released on Twitter. "However, Under Armour engages in innovation and sports, not politics."

He should just work on his companies falling stock prices.
If you don't engage in politics, then why did you step down in an extremely political statement???
This is a diversion to take the spot light off of their lagging sales. So he doesn't have to walk the plank in the next shareholders meeting!
What an idiot, where is the good ole American spirit!!!
10:18 What successful business did you start and make hundreds of millions running? Thought so, NONE!
So sick of these American companies being so PR.
Sooo Kevin, I along with my son will step down from you and not purchase any more of the expensive Under Armour product. We like the product and will miss it, but I bet you will miss us even more when it is made aware to other like minded consumers.
Such a snowfake
He could care less if you and your kid buy anymore under armor products. He has made more money than he can ever spend. Plenty of young golfers that look up to Jordan Spieth and have disposable income will pick up the slack for your minimal purchases.
I never have and never will pay for that overpriced clothing, even at outlet prices. He isn't paying me to advertise for him so why should I? North face? Nope. Nike? Nope. Any manufacturers logo? Nope. I even take the car sellers plates off my cars because they don't pay me to advertise for them either. I would remove the badging too but then I'll be left with a hole that I don't feel like filling in.
Just my two cents. Bring on the hate!
10:18 you got me, but I have invested in a few.
I bet you look real sharp in them burlap sack shirts the wife done darned for ya. LOL.
Shame on him!!!

I dang sure do buddy!! The itching wears off eventually!
11:58, you are correct and that is why I stated like minded consumers. You are assuming there are no others that will drop this line, same as you assume a grow man is a kid. Please refrain from your ignorance before guessing. Thank you.
Kind of hats to stand behind that statement what's he lost 2 billion so far. He better cash out so he can say he actually keep any monies he did make
All these CEOs proved to the country is their participation on Trump's Manufacturing Council was nothing more than a publicity thing for them. It was never about creating jobs or helping the President make our lives better. Screw them. Trump doesn't need them. It's their loss not ours.
4:44 You ain't too bright about financial matters is you? Do you really think his only asset is stock in his own company?
