14-Year-Old Arrested for Driving Without a License in Somerset County

On August 15, 2017 at 2:30 a.m. a trooper from the Maryland State Police Princess Anne Barrack performed a traffic stop on a black Suzuki SUV that was traveling above the posted speed limit on Rt. 13 in the area of Coston Road. Upon contacting the driver of the vehicle, the trooper learned that the driver was in fact a 14-year-old from Virginia. Also in the vehicle were three other juveniles ages, 12, 15, and 16, respectively.

An investigation revealed that the above juveniles left their residences in Virginia without their guardians’ knowledge. The group then took a family member’s vehicle without permission and proceeded to head to Salisbury, Md.

The driver and passenger of the vehicle were referred to juvenile services for driving without a license and unauthorized taking of a motor vehicle. All of the juveniles were transported to the Princess Anne Barrack where they were released to their respective guardians.

Good for him. He had a blast I'm sure and will be returned to his parents. He will get a slap on the wrist that will be struck from his record at 18. If I had known all this as a kid I probably would have had more fun.

LOL! A joyride with friends. This will be remembered in his club the rest of their lives as a good laugh!

Way to go, kids...I did that many times with my friends in the 60's.
