Absolutely! An ice cold Coke on a hot summer day was the best back then. But reaching into that ice water to grab one was a jolt. They tasted better back then too.
9:33, I loved Nehi Ginger Ale. Used to get one at Roy Elseys store on route 50 near Naylor Mill Road. We were constantly going in there with pop bottles we found along the highway in the summer time. Penny candy or sodas.
I miss the Nehi grape! We have gotten the Coke made with sugar and there is a difference. It is really good and doesn't leave a slimy taste in your mouth like the Coke with corn syrup in it. The problem is it is more expensive because it is only made with sugar in Mexico

I certainly do, and I'm 47.
take a big swig of that 6-1/2 oz. coke and pour half the peanuts into the bottle = heaven, indeed.

yup, the older men liked the peanuts but I preferred an oatmeal cookie or moon pie

They still sell the small bottles and have the coke made with sugar.
Yep, had one just like it in the "mom&pop" convenience store that I worked at when I was going to college in the eighties.

There used to be one like it in the old Mt. Hermon Store, owned and operated by Hazel Ward.
