“We want everyone vaccinated and caught up with the CDC schedule by age of 2,” said Dr. Thomas Connolly, a pediatrician with the Carithers Pediatric Group.
It turns out, the decision to not vaccinate their kids is becoming more common locally.
First Coast News compared numbers from the 2002-2003 school year to the 2016-1017 school year for Clay, Duval and St. Johns' public schools. The number of religious exemptions for kindergarten students went up seven times in Clay County, 17 times for Duval County and 25 times for St. Johns County. However, data also shows that 93 percent to 96 percent of students have all the vaccinations required to start school.
Connolly said he strongly encourages all of his patients to get vaccinated.

Vaccination goes hand in had with indoctrination. It's all so Democratic. We need to return to survival of the fit and smartest and stop mollycoddling the weak and clear our christian consciences of altruism and divine right and let the fodder fall as they may. I support planned parent hood.

I am perplexed. If your kid is already vaccinated you should have no fear of those who are not. Just more big pharma propaganda. Didn't the swine flu vaccination kill more people in 1976 than the disease did?

How about newborns? They are not vaccinated. Sometimes it takes several rounds of certain shots before they are fully vaccinated.

Has there become an underground for children who are protected from injections? I thought that not getting the proper injections is illegal if you are sending the children to public school. Are parents sneaking children into school without being legal and up to date with their shots? How frightening. A handicapped child needs to be protected from chances of further illness. How can I tell if my childs classmates are healthy? Are there records or laws? Don't mean to sound dumb....just concerned.
There are many kids who are not vacinated in the school system or not initially vacinated. Someone please educate me or tell me if im wrong, but are illegals vaccinated by our standards?
9:34 PM More progressive offices bring non vaccinated patients in either at the beginning of the day or at the end of the day, when there are no other patients.
Those that don't are just koolaid drinkers and in it for the money and not their patients.
Unvaccinated patients should not be discarded and received appropriate care, since this is not their decision but their parents. Why are doctors punishing the patients?

Common colds, flue and the like are not disease's and can't be cured by a vaccine, and in fact why is it, you are healthy and go to get a flue shot and you get sick???? Funny how that works huh, that is becasue they are putting a live virus in your body so your body will begin to fight it off and that later on will help with getting sick... Which is bogus... It will only help you body made the anti-bodies to fight but if your system gets overloaded, you still will get sick, becasue sometimes the flu virus can replicate faster than your anti-bodies...
Also I bet you clown ass didn't know this, that Cold or flue DNA is really RNA which means it is always changing and different every time someone gets sick, so in stupid terms for you, once you get sick, if you get sick again, that is becasue the DNA of the flu virus changed... You can't prevent that, and no vaccine will stop it... All you do is get a old flue shot, made for the DNA or RNA of the last know cold or flue virus at the time, so if it changes all the time, how can you prevent it???
Also, look into why they want you vaccinated so much in the first place!!!! Also while you are at it, running your mouth and NOT looking up evidence to prove you right, look into the TED TALK with bill gates, and see if you believe in vaccines after he gets done telling you why they love them so much and want everyone to get vaccine...
To defend 6:28 from all of you non knowing clowns, if you don't think autism is linked to vaccines even though the CDC finally came out and said so, take a long hard look at the Amish, they don't vaccine or produce GMO foods, and yet you don't see them being sick, having cancers, or autism, geeee I wonder why that is????
What happens if the child contracts a disease that could have been prevented with a vaccination and then dies? Does the government hold the parent accountable for the child's death? All of the vaccinated children should not have anything to worry about, even if they have been exposed to the disease.
I understand what the commenter meant by survival of the fittest. This is being thrust upon these kids due to their parents' beliefs, not the child. Just let that kid contract Polio or some other debilitating disorder and see what happens. I suppose that the parents' will just have to assume that it was "God's will".
Maybe we are over-vaccinating but to not vaccinate is like playing Russian-Roulette in my opinion.
