That's good to hear Robert E. Lee was a hero to this country and always will be to those who's history lessons were prior to 2017!!!! Leave the Civil War alone and worry more about nuclear war and North Korea.

Lots of history on the Shore. Martha Washington was from Accomac County. She was a Custis, and those with the family name still own large tracts of land there.

Guess the locals will now want to torch this place, too. Shameful.

yes some will 10:41 but not all. Some have evolved into civilized human beings who aren't out to get rid of anything or anyone who offends them. That's why all the black on black murders. Black youth learning and emulating the actions of their elders. Someone offends them and they shoot them dead. They aren't taught emotional control only to get rid of whatever it is they find offensive including other black human beings.

Martha Washington's maiden name was Dandridge. Her first marriage, to Daniel Parke Custis is where Martha Custis Washington acquired that name. Daniel Custis was the father of her two children that she and George Washington raised. George and Martha Washington never had biological children.

I always thought the Custis family was from Northampton County; but at one time it was all called Accomack so I guess it's all the same.
