The shots were reported on East Monroe Street in Del Ray, Alexandria police said on Twitter at 7:30 a.m. The location was near a YMCA.

UPDATE: A viewer writes, Scalise was shot in the hip at a baseball practice around 720 am. A staffer was shot in the chest and is en route to the hospital. Someone used a belt as a tourniquet for Scalise. The shooter is dead according to reports.
