Thieves. I take all my recyclables to transfer station for free and burn anything that is not a recyclable in my wood stove, fire pit or burn barrel. Won't ever pay them $60/year.

Started doing the same thing this year. Just as easy.

This may be the reason so much trash and junk is dumped on the road side

Wasn't it just a couple years ago it was like $45? Where's the explanation for the constant escalation of their fees at a disproportionate rate? What will be next year? $100? And they wonder why people take their garbage to area dumpsters or dump crap on the side of the road like 813 stated. SMH

Try living in the so called boonies and see what trash pickup will cost you.

Worcester County is $100.00 for a yearly permit.

Perhaps you people should be thankful for what you have.

If you live just over the line in Delaware and choose to use a Wicomico County Convenience Center it's $165.00 a year.

8:36...we are bedded down in taxes as it is. I a one of one in my household and seldom here. Very little trash gets the opportunity to accumulate around here.I buy a permit that has already been paid for in high taxes, this is double dipping. Sixty bucks to run out to the landfill a few times per year is bull crap.

That's 4 bucks a month, and a bargain! So many uneducated comments...

What angers me is, in the past there was no fee. It was tied in with our taxes and property taxes we pay. All you had to do was show proof you were a Wicomico county resident and you could dump your trash. I live in the County, and receive little to no services, yet my property taxes have gone from 550 in 1990 to over 2000 dollars per year, plus all the state and local taxes and fees we must pay. The landfill is run by the county and county employees work there paid through our taxes. The fee just adds insult to injury! And you wonder why people dump their old appliances and mattresses in the woods or on the side of a road?

Even though Wico county only gave us 2 days' notice, the employees at the waste station office are doing an excellent job of servicing the public. Note: I could not print the form from my computer due to "technical" difficulties, but discovered that you do not need a new form if your information is exactly the same as last year because it is all in the computers.

Yeah I really like how I got the same card from them on the 28th and the shit expires on the 30th. What's up with that?
