He said United would conduct “a thorough review of crew movement, our policies for incentivizing volunteers in these situations, how we handle oversold situations and an examination of how we partner with airport authorities and local law enforcement.”
Videos of the episode, in which the limp passenger was dragged along the floor on an airplane, spread quickly online and set off public outrage.

I am sorry but a so called felon Dr that kcks screams and assaults cops deserved to be taken out like that and i dont care what libs say you act like a fool you get treated like a fool.
Funny how they have about 1% out of every 10,000 flyers get force-ably removed due to their over booking... But what makes it this one worse is it was done for their employees..
The media found out the doctor that got violated had a previous record with his writing of prescriptions in early 2000's. Not sure why that was necessary to bring that up. His past had nothing to do with the way he was treated.
I hope they pay him off big time and I hope their security get arrested for assault and battery.
All that just to let 4 people from another airlines catch a ride. Screw them.
These people who work for corporations like this don't give two shits about you or anyone else... They just put this statement out becasue they fear a boycott... No other reason... But you people keep on paying the piper and wonder why they do what they do...
I am surprised we didn't have the ass cheek sucking cop lovers on here praising the actions of the police....
Too little - too late for me. Done with them them.
UA offered $800 CASH and a hotel room for the night when they selected 4 passengers randomly. I would have made most sense simply to go down the aisle and auction off the last remaining seat that needed to be vacated (first 3 got their $800). The person that made all the fuss most likely was bumped to the 1st class seat anyway and was stupid for walking away from the offer.
So they bumped four passengers to make room for four employees and when one refused to deplane, they called security. Then one of the security team punched the guy, bloodied his mouth and knocked him out, dragged him out of the plane and now the security goon is suspended for not following SOP.
Maybe next time UA will rent a car and let their employees drive the four hours. Not only will they avoid crap like this but will save a ton of money

Typical idiot liberal supporting a out of control non compliant fool i guess one deserves the other ...just like Obama did JUMP THE GUN.
Airlines often overbook flights, but it is rare to be denied boarding. Among airlines based in the United States, about 62 per one million passengers were denied boarding last year, according to the Department of Transportation. United was in the middle of the pack, ranked No. 5, with 3,765 passengers involuntarily denied boarding out of more than 86 million who were allowed on an airplane, according to the Transportation Department. (An additional 62,895 did not board, but on a voluntary basis.)

His past has nothing to do with this. He did not assault anyone. YOU are the fool and probably a lib too. If you can't see what is wrong with this picture then you are indoctrinated very well. Congrats.
Call a lawyer and get free air travel forever for you and your family. By the way, I'm up for adoption!

you need help. I don't know why Joe still allows your trolling on here.
So anyone that has ever been in trouble with the law at anytime in their life is fair game to catch a beating on an airplane? Really? A 69 year old man beaten to make room from United employees. I wonder why the gay male flying waitresses didn't remove him?
The guy paid for his ticket in good faith expecting that money reserved his seat he then boarded the plane and then the airline does this. I would think the customer would be the priority over the employee's.
He was asked to leave he wouldn't. See ya. I hope he loses his license to practice medicine, if that part is true. Hope he gets arrested for the 1000s of people that were late from all connecting flights.
I can't believe this guy is still a Dr. After a lifetime of Drug Abuse, fraud and trading pills for sex and still can practice medicine?? Outrages he can see patients!! No doubt he was high.
Soooooooo
I guess when you act like a Ahole on a plane and kick cops its ok by libs?...Clueless fools
Why dont the liberal idiots see this ?

get some therapy for your hate.
You do realize it's a federal offense to argue or fight with employees on an airplane! this idiot refused to leave the plane since he was one of the last people to check in! he was one of the first to be picked to leave. I see no problem what they did to remove him. The tards on here seem to have a problem with the way it was handled by law enforcement!! This was of course after the employees could not get him to comply nicely by offering incentives. This quack doctor moron got what he deserved!!
Obama hillary bernie FOOLS.
I worked for USair for years. Moving crew around is a challenge. However, this was a four hour car ride. They could have transported the crew by ground and avoided all of this uproar. We transported crew by ground on numerous occasions. If there had been bad weather that cancelled the flight, what would they have done to get the crew there? They would have transported them by car. It happens all the time.
I have taken almost 400 flights and have never witnessed anything like this. Once on the Scandinavian Airlines they did overbook business class and kept on sweetening the deal until someone volunteered to move into economy. Of course refund on difference and 4000 euros which is just over $4000.00 US dollars.
9:28 How many doctors in your family. 4 out of 5 of his children are doctors as is his wife. They were not LEO, they were airport security guards - u know - cop wannabes that didn't pass the tests.
These testosterone fueled goons need to remember that most people have video phones. I get the policy and the need to transport employees, often pilots, for other flights. But, hitting a passenger, no matter what he did, is never good p.r.
Can you say Target?
But, most people, who've never worked in the airline business, don't understand that many flights are one way for captain and crew, so they need to catch a ride back to their next port of duty. Otherwise, many other passengers are stuck. Overbooked flights ensure full flights so airlines remain profitable. They all do it, usually by 3 passengers every flight.

The Chicago Department of Aviation said in a statement on Monday that the incident “was not in accordance with our standard operating procedure” and that an officer had been placed on leave pending a review of the matter. The department declined to identify the officer.
First, as you see, it wasn't law enforcement and second, one of the security officers is suspended because he did not follow SOP. Your attempt at justifying this assault fails.
United offered $1,000 to entice people to give up their seat for EMPLOYEES, and they might not have even been United's employees. (employees fly for free on a stand-by basis BTW)
You are entitled to your opinion of course, but thankfully reasonable people do see the problem with United's handling of this issue, which they created themselves by choosing to move employees on this full flight.
4k? they could have bought a used car with that and had them drive the 4 hours to Kentucky.

Yes, you are sorry and no, no one deserves to be treated like that. Not even you.
I really do not understand why people are still saying the customer was in the wrong? He paid for that ticket just like everyone else did. It was United's fault for overbooking in the first place. They should have kept offering a better deal for people willing to give up their seat, eventually some would have jumped at cash to stay another day. This man was assaulted. Point blank. The officer who beat him and knocked him unconscious is on leave and his department even said he did not follow protocol. United lost about $255 million yesterday just an FYI.
Wow your stupid, but even you have rights.
