Nearly 1,600 people were caught stealing $1.9 billion from Medicaid in 2016, a government watchdog reported Monday.
The state-run Medicaid Fraud Control Units investigated and prosecuted the cases; the Department of Health and Human Development's Inspector General reported the findings.
According to the Office of Special Investigator, California had the most convictions, with 173, followed by Ohio with 126.

I'm guessing nurse candy burns is in this group
What about the Blubber Blogger. I'm sure he could get busted for something
I'm guessing so too. I can't wait for the Feds to drop the hammer on her and Buffy (I mean Biffy). He is always running around bragging about how much money he has. They just bought a farm in Dorchester County for 1.95 MILLION dollars. Check Maryland Land Records if you don't believe it. A nurse practitioner and the owner of a run down slop shop like Jacks Market do not make that kind of income. But that's ok, the Feds will reconcile all of it. Then short little Biffy will be squealing like a pig and Candy will be complaining that her jail jumpsuit makes her look fat.
So that's $1,187,500 for each fraud? Something isn't adding up. Where are the 1,600 people in jail for this?
