A student at a fancypants, $64,940-per-year college pleaded not guilty on Friday morning to charges that she kicked — and stepped on — a basketball player and threw another player to the ground. The attacking student was angry because she had decided that one of the players — a white woman with braided hair — had committed “cultural appropriation,” police say.
The student who allegedly instigated the beatdown is Carmen Figueroa. She attends Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts.
Police say Figueroa assaulted the two basketball players after a women’s basketball at Hampshire’s Robert Crown Center game on January 27, according to the Daily Hampshire Gazette, a newspaper out of nearby Northampton.
The victims of the alleged assault are members of the Central Maine Community College women’s basketball team.

Sounds like she was mad she got beat on the court...LOL
Expel her.
Ancient Greeks braided hair.
It's a pretty simple invention.
Calculus was invented almost simultaneously by two different people -- surely braiding hair was independently invented by many people in different parts of the world.
ignorant people all around us
What ever happened to the idea that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery???
This was on the school's website, since taken down:
"Carmen Figueroa. I took a criminal justice class and halfway through the semester, I fell in love. The more I learned the more I wanted to be involved."
Well, it looks like she's involved now, but at the receiving end.
