Young most recently served as the County’s Director of Public Works, a role he assumed in April of 2015 after being promoted from Deputy Director of Public Works. During his tenure, Young managed the $8M Morris Mill water tank and distribution line project, provided an innovative and long term solution to the dredging of the Wicomico River and produced a significant improvement in the Solid Waste Division financial sustainability.
Young attended the University of Maryland, College Park where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 2005 and is a Professional Engineer licensed in Maryland and Virginia.
Publishers Notes: Not for nothing Ladies & Gentlemen but this has to be the best move County Executive Bob Culver has done to date. While I know the majority of you don't know Weston or his background but there's no doubt in my mind that he will be chosen for many years and many leaders to continue in this position.
